Farewell

The summer was over now. Nicky married Maria and was on his honeymoon. Marie grew up so fast.  She was 7 month old and the sunshine of Shane and Charlotte. The last Westlife album came out in October 2011. Then there was the day of the conference the lads would say that Westlife will end after 14 years. "We decided it together. We all have our own family now. Wifes and of course my daughter. We were together our half life and now it's time to say goodbye. Next year is the farewell tour. Two nights in Dublin at Croke Park.", Shane said to the reporter. It was very emotional.  All radio and TV shows reported about it, all magazines were full of Westlife. But noone said or wrote some negative things. The "Irish Sun" wrote "We are proud of our irish lads" the news on TV said "The most successfull band in Ireland says goodbye." In December the lads made a big TV show "Westlife for the last time" with all hits. The fans were crying six month before the last concert at Croke Park. The album sold good. The single was no number one, but the tickets for the whole tour were sold out in 20 minutes.
Then Shane and Charlotte celebrated the first christmas with Marie, she was a little princess. "Merry Christmas Charlotte", Shane said and gave her a little box. "Oh, that's beautiful.  Thank you." It was a beautiful necklace. "Merry Christmas Shane,  this is one of my presents.", she showed him a picture. "That's a sonogram.", he said. "Yes." Then he looked up to her. "Oh my god, is that a new sonogram.  Not one from Marie?" "Yes Shaney,  I'm pregnant.", she hugged and kissed him. "Oh baby that's wonderful. Another baby." "It's week five. So we cannot tell it our families yet. Date of birth is in August." "I love you baby.", he kissed her gently. "Dadada", Marie said. Oh, we forgot the most important person. Merry Christmas Marie. Here that's all for you from Santa." "But I have something for you not only the sonogram Shaney.", she kissed him. "Here that's for you. It's not big, but I hope you'll like it." He opened it. "A calendar... a selfmade calendar.  Wow, thank you baby. So I can see you every day on tour.", he kissed her. It was a calendar with pictures from Charlotte, Marie, Toby and the sonogram of the new baby.

Then in February was Maries first birthday. All families and friends were here. Time to say the good news. "Guys, thank you all for coming. We have some news for you.", Shane said holding Charlottes hand. "We're having another baby." The guests screamed and clapped their hands.  They were happy for Shane and Charlotte. "Boy or girl?", Kian asked. "We don't know it yet.", Shane said. "Shane, I know it since today.  I wanted to surprise you.  It's a boy." "Wow, then we have girl and boy.  That's perfect.  I love you so much.  Cannot wait till August." The guests screamed again. It was a wonderful day and Marie was to tired to celebrate her first birthday.

The tour start was in March. First UK, then Sweden and Germany. A tour through Asia and finally the two nights at Croke Park.  Charlotte was in week 30 when the last night begun. The stadium was sold out both nights, 85.000 people. That was amazing. The fans screamed and cried.  Before the Thank you of Shane, Charlotte had a break - down. "Charlotte are you ok?", Emely asked "Yes." "Should I bring Shane?", Maria asked.  "No, please not yet. He has to be there on stage. They were on the side of the stage. "Ahhhh", Charlotte screamed. "We should call an ambulance." One of the persons backstage brought a stool and called the ambulance. Meanwhile Shane was on stage with the Thank yous. "Croke Park I wanna thank you for 14 amazing years. I thank this three lads here. My best friends from Sligo,  my mum and dad and brothers and sisters.  The most important persons here tonight is my wife Charlotte and our little girl Marie. And in a few weeks guys I'm having another baby." The crowd screamed. "Thank you and good night."
The ambulance was there and the doctor wanted to bring Charlotte in the hospital. Emely was there looking for Marie and would tell it Shane immediately after the last three songs.
Then the very emotional show ends with "Flying without wings". The guys cried,  but were happy for the fantastic time together.
When Shane come backstage Emely run to him. "Shane,  Charlotte is in the hospital." "What? Is something with the baby? It's to early for the birth.", he said and run out to the car which drives the lads to the hotel.  The driver got the information and Shane was 15 minutes later in the hospital. "Charlotte, baby, what happened?" "Oh Shane, I'm so happy that you're here." Shane hugged and kissed her. "What is with the baby? " "The baby is ok. I have to lie in the bed the next 10 weeks. I can go home tomorrow." "We should search for a name for our boy soon." "Yes,  what do you think about Ben?" "Ben? Yes, I like it. Ben Filan."

In August Charlotte gave birth to healthy little baby boy named Ben. He had the same face like Shane. It was a mini Shane.
"I'm so happy. I love you Charlotte.  You and Marie and Ben.", he kissed her then Marie and Ben. "I love you too. Thank you for these beautiful children."
