I saw you in my dream last night
You appeared within the final moments
You smiled in my direction and I almost missed it
I answered with a nod
I drifted on a sun ray
Someday
You said to me
I didn't comprehend
We held hands
Talked over tea and cookies
The sun began to fall
The moon stood to it's feet
The leaves began to scatter over the concrete
Everything was abstract
Emotional interpretation of a day now passed
A time nearly forgotten
Stirring my nostalgia
Sending ripples through my memories like foam in a cappuccino
Do I miss you
Wish you hadn't left me
Or in the absence of affection am I seeking salvation in your sweet kisses
It feels just like it should
It tastes like I remember
And I long for that I've never had
The always good never bad
Dream
Am I dreaming or wishing
Sleeping silently or reminiscing
Touching
Hugging
Kissing
Missing
You
I awaken and wonder
If I'm dreaming
Are you dreaming too
