Gabriel

"Ah, Gabriel, I expected you to be coming here," God turned around in his office chair and smiled at me.

"I'm taking this as you know why I'm here to?" I asked, doing a little bow.

"Of course, you have finally found your soulmate."

"So once again, I'm going to guess that you know what I'm about to ask?"

"Yes," his smile disappeared. "Gabriel, you have been a follower of mine for a very long time. I knew you do not belong here but you do now. You have to be here for the final battle. I'm sorry, but you cannot leave heaven just because you have found, "The One." He put quotation marks around saying she was the one.

I could feel Blitz trying to break out, HE DOESN'T THINK SHE'S THE ONE!!! SHE IS, SHE HAS TO BE, I'M DONE WAITING!! Blitz shouted.

"Lord, I hate to argue with you, but she is the one. I know, and you cannot try to argue with me on this one."

"My son, this whole fascination with finding your soulmate, it is abnormal. You have been fixated on this for six thousand years. And I have one thing to tell you." I could tell just by the look in his pure white eyes, what he was about to tell me, "Soulmates are not real. It's the one thing I do not have control over, it just does not work."

I felt Blitzen push forward, my eyes changing, I didn't have control anymore. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?! WE ONLY AGREED TO THIS DEAL BECAUSE YOU SAID.... NO, PROMISED," Blitz roared. "YOU PROMISED MY SOULMATE WAS HERE!! BUT NOW YOU'RE SAYING I JUST DON'T HAVE ONE?"

"You are pushing your limits talking to me like this. I could just send you to where you are supposed to be. And not bring the one you believe to be your soulmate with you."

Blitz actually whimpered. He got quieter. "Please don't. I can't lose someone I just found." He then glared. "Aren't you supposed to be a good guy. Ya know, nice carpenter dude, helping everyone."

"I'm just looking at the bigger picture. You play a role in the final battle. And I do not care what you think contrary to that."

"Fine," I could feel Blitz starting to give me control again. I felt my eyes shift back to their natural blue.

Instead of trying to fight God, I decided to just leave the room.

He thinks he can just threaten us, Blitz muttered. Threaten to take away our mate.

Don't worry, I told him. I have a plan.
