Injury Fluff [Malik x Reader]

Today was one of my days off from doing any missions, mainly because Altaïr had to do them. I had decided to go to Jerusalem to visit a close friend of mine, Malik!

I rode my horse up to a stable near the gates and blended in with some scholars to get past the guards. Once past them I made it look like I was passing through them and made my way over to an alley. I was about scale the building, until I heard a soft meow. I looked around for the source of the noise.

Stuck under box, there was a small, white kitten. I instantly went to lift the box, but saw that it's hind (back) left paw was crushed. I gasped and held the boxes in place with my foot and arm while scooting the kitten carefully out from under them.

I struggled doing so, but I finally was able to get the helpless kitten safe. I held the kitten on it's back, revealing that it was a boy. "How did you get stuck under there, bud?" I asked the kitten, getting a meow in response. I only chuckled and walked to the nearest ladder.

Once on the rooftops, I began to pick up my speed. I was careful from archers and any other things that could've tripped me. That was... until I reached the bureau. I had forgotten that I needed to jump down...

I decided to hang from the side, which usually needed both hands. But I was convinced that I could do it. I braced myself, lightly swung myself into the bureau. My arm tensed immediately and pain shot through my arm.

As I went to let go, I was still swinging and I fell. While I faceplanted, the kitten safely landed on the pillows. Malik looked out the doorway, seeing me. He sighed, stifling laughter. I pulled myself up, wiping the dirt and dust from face. I looked over to the kitten and smiled. "Lucky.." I muttered. I picked him up and walked him to the small room. "Malik. Help meeee." I held him behind my back. He looked up at my form, seeing my hands behind me. He raised an eyebrow, "With what?" A small meow answered him.

He sighed, "Why do you have a cat, Y/N?" I brought the kitten on the desk. "His hind paw is crushed from some boxes. Haven't you anything that could help him?" I pleaded. He examined the broken paw, and earned a yelp from the kitten. "Sorry.." He muttered before getting up to grab some materials. As he held a small stick in place, I wrapped a thick amount of layers of patches to help the kitten. He meow happily, earning a smile from both of us. "He's adorable!" I chirped.

Malik smiled at my comment and looked up at me. "What brings you here anyways, L/N (last name)?" My eyes, still on the playful kitten, "Well, i wanted to come see you, but I found this little guy stuck under a few boxes. I helped him out and well, continued to come here." I swore I saw a smallish pink tint on his face when I had started out my sentence. "So, do you have a mission here in Jerusalem?" He asked. I shook my head, "Not today. I just felt like coming to see you." After saying the last bit, I felt a small heat in my cheeks.

"Oh, well then," he replied with a small chuckle. There was a long pause until the kitten had broke it with another one of his cute meows.

I looked up at Malik, and realized how father-like he was with the kitten. I felt a fluttery feeling in ny stomach. "They're both so cute..." I muttered, but not in my head like I thought it was. He looked up at me, "Oh really?" A small smirk tugged at his lips, making me blush a bright pink. "I- er- um.... yeah?" I said awkwardly, realizing he heard my awkward comment. He laughed, "Come. I have a secret." I instantly felt my stomach do a flip, and leaned down. He leaned in, kissing me. I melted into the kiss, but my heart was beating quickly with excitement. I placed my hand on his cheek and he laced my fingers with his.

We stayed like this for a couple of minutes until the small kitten meowed. I pulled away, laughing while Malik chuckled. My cheeks were a bright pink still.

"So, what are you going to name him?" Malik asked with a smile.

I softly smiled back, "I was thinking.. Kadar?"
