Anjali: Yes... the one who played the dirty game is... unfortunately, my husband. (She made a disgusted face) Ugh... I don't even want to call him my husband.

Arnav (traumatized): Di... What? (The Raizadas were shocked while the Guptas were furious at Shyam.)

Anjali then told them how she overheard Shyam planning to kill Khushi.

**Flashback Starts**

While Arnav was praying for Khushi, Anjali was the happiest person because Arnav had never prayed after their mother's death. She could feel their mother's presence around, but she suddenly felt dizzy. She was standing behind everyone, so no one noticed except Akash, who was beside her and quickly caught her. Akash was very worried and was about to say something when she signaled him not to tell anyone. She searched for Shyam, but when she couldn't find him, she pouted. Akash took Anjali to the other side, where no one could see them, and made her sit in a chair.

Akash: Di, you aren't well... Why did you stop me from saying anything?

Anjali: Akash, I don't want Chhote to worry about me. Everyone is already worried; I don't want to add to it.

Akash (sighing): Okay, Di, but be careful. You sit here, and I'll bring you some water.

Anjali nodded, and Akash went to get water. Then, she saw Shyam in the same corridor, near a window, talking on the phone with someone. She thought of going to him to tell him she wasn't feeling well, but when she approached and overheard his conversation, she was stunned. She hid behind a ward door near the window and listened carefully.

Shyam (unaware of Anjali's presence, speaking on the phone): I want her dead. I know her operation was successful... inject her with poison... or I'll kill your daughter. (He ended the call and muttered to himself) Who does she think she is? She can reject me and marry that Arnav? She means nothing to me. What matters is the money. If Arnav has a wife, the property will never come to me. So, it's one kick and two goals... Khushi's punishment and Arnav's wealth—I want them both.

Anjali jumped when someone touched her shoulder. She turned fearfully and saw Akash, who had tears in his eyes, indicating that he had also heard Shyam. Anjali hugged Akash and sobbed as she remembered what Shyam said. Anjali and Akash were about to leave when they saw Shyam approaching. So, they both went inside the ward and closed the door. They stood behind the door as Shyam stood just outside. If they moved, Shyam would see them. They decided to stay hidden until Shyam left, but they were desperate to save Khushi. Akash patted Anjali, then moved fully inside the ward and called NK.

Akash (on the phone): NK Bhai, Khushiji...

NK (interrupting): Don't worry, Akash. The doctor said Khushiji can be saved. She even called Nannav's name. He went inside to meet her. But where are you, Jiju, and Di?

Akash: We came to get water... We'll come now. (He abruptly ended the call and went back to Anjali, who was still waiting for Shyam to leave.)

Anjali (whispering with tears): Akash...

Akash (comforting Anjali): Don't worry, Di... Bhai is inside with Khushiji. Nothing will happen to her while he's there. Once Shyam leaves, you go stop the doctor, and I'll take care of Shyam. (He glared angrily at Shyam from the corner of the door.)

Anjali nodded. Shyam finally left, and she ran to the other side to stop the doctor from injecting poison into Khushi, while Akash called the police and kept an eye on Shyam.

**Flashback Ends**

There was silence in the room until the doctor started speaking.

Doctor: Mr. Raizada, I didn't do anything deliberately. I don't know how Shyam got hold of my daughter. She had gone to a friend's party... and I don't even know how he got my number. He called me during the operation, but my phone was switched off—the operation was already successful. When I came out, I switched on my phone and got his call. He threatened to kill my daughter if I saved Khushi... but it was too late; I had already saved her. I told him that, but he insisted I kill her. I reasoned that there were nurses and ward boys, and I couldn't kill her. So, he told me to shift her to another ward where I could inject her with poison. I came out and told you all that Khushi only had a few hours left, hoping you would understand the clue, and then I shifted her to another ward. Shyam kept messaging me to inject her, so I gave her some pain injections to make Shyam believe that I had poisoned her, but Khushi soon gained consciousness and called "Arnavji." I was helpless, but I saw you all praying for her life from inside. My morals wouldn't let me kill anyone, but my hands were tied. (Looking at Arnav) I thought I would somehow tell you about Shyam, so I sent the nurse to call you in. I was waiting to tell you when you were talking to Khushi, but then I got his call. I couldn't ignore it as he had my daughter... He demanded I inject her fast, or he would kill my daughter. I was helpless and sent you out... but thank God you all came at the right time. (The doctor folded his hands) Please, save my daughter.

NK: Don't worry, your daughter will be safe. (He moved out to contact Akash and update him.)

Everyone was furious at the thought of Shyam's evil deeds.

Arnav (angrily screamed): Shyam... I'll not leave you! (He was about to leave when he heard a soft voice calling him...)

Khushi (in a whisper): Arnavji...
