"Its warm..."
The soft sound of rain filled the silent room as we both slowly leaned away from the hug. We both stared at the ground before I finally broke the silence.
"S-so this is necessary..." I said, extending my hand towards him, a bright smile now taking the place of my sad teary expression.
"I'm Akihito Akagawa, and I recently started my job as a librarian here! Nice to meet you!" I said, blushing slightly.
"I'm Yash and I don't care about your job." He said bluntly with a slight sly smile.
"O-oh! Sorry..." I said, looking down. After a few seconds we both got up and awkwardly and silently made our way to the exit.
"Its raining..." I mumbled as I looked around for an umbrella to use."Heyo! What's up!" Fuwa happily asked behind us. I quickly rubbed my eyes to get rid of any leftover tears before replying.
"He-hey Fuwa..." I said as I lowered my eyes.
"Hey Fuwa." Yash said nonchalantly.
"Hey Yash" Fuwa replied, looking at the rainy sky
'Oh she has an umbrella! Since I don't want to make this any more awkward with Yash, I could ask her to take me home.'
"..." Fuwa looked at me then Yash, repeating the motion a few times.
Fuwa quickly slapped on her messenger bag and opened her umbrella, yelling "YEET" before running at full speed until she was out of sight.
"W-wha..." I said, staring at the direction she ran.
'Now how am I gonna get home... Since I live alone, there no problem on making anyone wait but...'
I sighed but softly gasped as I felt a warm fabric on my head, making me look up at Yash. It was his jacket. He got under the jacket with me and slowly began to walk.
"We're going to my house since it's closer." He stated, slightly leading me.
'I never really noticed but he's very handsome... N-No! What am I thinking!?! He's a student... And a male...' I shook those thoughts out my head and noticed that his shoulder was getting wet.
"Y-your shoulder's getting wet..." I said, leaning closer and moving my hand on top of his to move the jacket more on his side.
He moved his hand away quickly and I gasped as the rain hit me. But he took the whole jacket and wrapped it around me, then wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer, picking me up enough to make my legs float from the ground, leaving me no room to protest.
"H-Hey! You're gonna get wet!" I yelled, wiggling around. He ignored me and continued walking, drenching himself. We eventually arrived at Yash's house.
"S-so do you have an umbrella I could use to go home?" I asked, handing the jacket back.
"No." He replied as he kicked his shoes off and walked into the house.
"B-but how am I gonna get home?" I stuttered out, wrapping my arms around my body to get some warmth.
"You're not." He nonchalantly said, walking back to throw a towel at my head.
"What?" I asked, moving the towel away from my eyes before tilting my head slightly in confusion.
"My neighborhood is not a place where you can calmly walk through without being mugged." He said with a sigh as he walked over and took the towel.
"Well then why do y-" I began to ask before getting cut off by Yash grabbing the towel and drying my hair with it. I tried to protest but he pulled me closer and used slightly more force as I whined.
After a while he finally stopped before he took the towel and grabbed my hand, leading me towards the bathroom. He left and came back with clothes, closing the bathroom door behind him.
"Strip." He said as he ran his fingers through his wet hair.
"WH-WHAT!?!" I yelled as I backed up.
"Your clothes are wet so you can borrow my clothes but strip." He calmly repeated.
"Fine fine but get out!" I yelled as I pushed him out and slammed the door.
I waited until he left and locked the door. I slowly took the clothes and stared at them.
'He wants me to wear these? But my size is much more smaller...' I thought with a sigh before changing out. He gave me a simple pair of sweatpants and a shirt. I dropped my wet clothes into the sink and walked out.
"What do you think you're doing?" He sternly asked, as i jumped. I realized he was pointing to my wet scarf.
"But my scarf..." I whimpered as he shook his head and attempted to pull my scarf off.
"Stop!" I yelled as I stumbled back.
"Can I just have bandages then..." I mumbled as I looked down in guilt.
'He let me in and got me out of my wet clothes and I treat him like this?'
"Fine." He said as he walked to the bathroom again as I followed a few steps behind. He opened the bottom cabinet and pulled out a small first aid kit and pulled out bandages and handed to me before walking out.
'This is quite a lot of bandages.. Does he get hurt often?' I wondered as I pulled my scarf off and took a deep breath.
My neck already had a bandage on it but it was from last night so I had to change it. I slowly unwrapped it and hissed as the cold air hit my neck. On the back of my neck was a tattoo of a leaf, a symbol of fall. My eyebrows furrowed as I slowly traced the giant scar starting from the bottom of my left cheek to my chest, a portion of it being covered. A cruel reminder of my past.
I pushed the depressing thoughts away and covered it the best I could and cleaned up. I once again took a deep breath as I pushed the door open.
