The clock is her only enemy,
time ticking away.
Watching as her moments become nothing,
as her dreams of being something fade.
One more minute,
and it will become most people call
fools time.
Because they all say,
only those who are lonely
or desperately, stupidly in love
are awake at 4am.
And she was both.
