I walked into the building, feeling more confident than yesterday. I walked straight up to Tyson’s locker. He gave me a bright smile and kissed my head lightly. I looked over to see if Gabe was nearby. A piece of me inside wanted him to see this. As I looked there he was staring right at us. Not thinking I pulled Tyson closer and kissed his lips deeply. He kissed back. He was a great kisser. Gabe rushed over and pulled Tyson away blushing. “ I uh, need you Tyson for our group project.”
I fixed my shirt as I noticed the odd look Tyson was giving Gabe. But he didn’t care. He kissed me one last time and rushed off with Gabe. I smirked feeling very accomplished.
I sat down at the same table as yesterday with my packed lunch, waiting for Tyson. I watched him walk over with his soda and fries and he sat down right by me. After yesterday I realized a lot of different things about him. Such as how wonderful he smells and how accompanied I felt when he was around. I couldn't eat honestly. I just wanted to hold him close and stare into his soft blue eyes. I lost my train of thought when I saw Gabe walk over with Bella. As soon as I saw Gabe’s smile I completely forgot about Tyson. I tried to shake Gabe’s sexy smile away, but I couldn’t. I looked at my lunch and saw Tyson out of the corner of my eye-- I put my hand on his knee and worked my way up a little closer to his thigh. I felt him grab my hand and intertwine our fingers. Gabe saw me looking at Tyson and pretended to knock his water on Bella soaking her lap. “GABE!” She yelled giving him an angry look. She stormed off to clean herself up and Gabe scooted closer to me.
“So Eva, about hanging out? I’m having a party on Friday.Wanna come?” He asked nervously.
Tyson almost choked on his drink. “Hold up!” He said furrowing his eyebrows.
“It’s an invite Tysie. Are you wanting to go with your sister?” Gabe chuckled to himself.
“I would actually like to go with my girlfriend.” Tyson said after clearing his throat.
I just kind of sat there listening to the boys argue. I really wanted to go with Gabe. I’ve been waiting for this moment since I was five. But I didn’t want to hurt Tyson. And I was finally starting to have feelings for him. Just then I watched Bella strut over now in a minier mini skirt than before. “Slut.” I quietly mumbled under my breath.
“Huh?” Bella said as she sat down.
“Nice skirt.” I replied.
“That’s what I thought.”
I hate her. I released Tyson’s hand to go throw my trash away. I dumped my tray when I felt an acrylic nail poke my shoulder. Yep you guessed it, Bella--again. “Wanna know something?” She asked and smiled evilly.
“What?” I replied not very sure that I wanted to know.
“I’m not a virgin.” She said.
I figured as much. I thought but then I realized who she most likely had lost it to. I glanced over at Gabe feeling a sudden burst of heartbreak and anger. My freckled face started to turn as red as my curls and I raised my fist to her face. I went to punch her but Gabe pulled me away and Tyson pulled his sister. I was guessing Gabe was wondering why I was angry. I went to tell him but instead of embarrassing myself I ran out of the cafeteria and into a stall in the bathroom and burst into tears. What the hell is wrong with me. This and Friday’s party was all I thought about all week long.
