Decisions To Make

In the past 6 days, Brad did everything he can do to show Anika how much he loves her. He would talk to her all the time, even after classes. Chat with her every night, stay up with her until midnight but Brad would tell me all the time what was going on between them. He would tell me that there's really a chance that Anika would like him back. That ruins me.. knowing what they're doing every single minute.

"Im so sure she also has a crush on me V" Brad said.

"Just don't expect too much" I said.

"Yes, boss" Brad said.

Today is the day that we will know Anika's decision. It was dismissal when we all gathered in a place near the canteen. Me, Anika, Patricia, Angela, Katie, Kyle and Brad.

"Soo everyone has been waiting for the decision right?" Anika asked.

All of them smiled and said yes but Anika noticed me being nervous.

"Van? Are you okay?" Anika asked.

"Me? Yes I am" I said.

"Ofcourse V would be okay" Patricia added.

Brad looked at me but I hid my face.

"So what's the answer?" Brad asked.

It took Anika a long time to answer.

"I know Brad you did everything I was actually amazed of what you did so thank you but I think the person you should be with is not me.. she might be just there with you all the time and I know, I clearly know its not me. So it's a no Brad. I hope you'll understand" Anika said sincerely then suddenly smiled at me.

I was confused. Why would she say that? Why would she smile at me? I looked at Brad and he was all sad. I know deep inside he was about to drop a tear but he was holding it back. Then we all returned to the backyard of the school and they played their sports while I sat on a chair near the basketball court.
