"Room. Now," Reed growled, as he pushed Sam towards the hallway. As she scampered off, Reed collapsed onto the couch in the living room. He began to run his fingers through his hair, sighing in the process. Sitting in the silence, he heard someone enter into the room. "Sam, I said to go to your room," He snapped at the person.

"It's me," Christy's voice whispered. The woman had her hair in a bun, was wearing a baggy t-shirt, obviously his, a pair of grey sweatpants and her feet were bare. She made her way over to the couch and plopped down on it, next to the stressed man.

"Christy..." Reed breathed out, giving her an apologetic look. "I'm sorry, it's just that Sam did something really stupid today and now I'm just really...pissed, I guess."

"You always look so adorable when you get all mad," Christy joked, as Reed rolled his eyes and grinned. She leaned her head onto his shoulder and then he rested his head on top of hers.

"So, you still haven't told me about James," Reed whispered to down to her. She took in a small breath and began to close her eyes. "I just don't understand how he's your son."

"Look," Christy began, licking her lips. "Do you maybe wanna go out to dinner.... just you and I? I can explain it there."

Reed gave her a somewhat confused look and then nodded.

Sam laid on her bed awaiting for her brother to arrive and yell at her for seeing and kissing that 'wretched boy.' She closed her eyes, as the door to her room opened.

Reed didn't necessarily look angry...more disappointed then anything. His eyes were slightly enraged but his features were much calmer. Sam sat upright on her bed and stood, smoothing her skirt over her legs. Her brother stood in front of her, arms crossed, awaiting the right moment to just let all of his frustration out on her. Sam gave him pleading eyes as he stuck his hand in front of her, signaling that she needed to give him her cell phone and iPod. She reached over her bed to her nightstand, grasped onto the items, and then handed them over to her brother.

"Let me just make one thing clear," Reed whispered, keeping his eyes locked on hers. "If I ever hear that you see or speak to that dreadful boy again..." He let silence fill the room as she nervously awaited his threat. "I will send you off to an all girls, boarding school...got it?"

Sam nodded her head and then looked to the floor. "Yes, sir."

"You are grounded for the next month and there will be no sneaking around either," He placed the cell phone and iPod into his pocket and then crossed his arms, still staring down at her with angered but now more calmed eyes. "Do you understand, Samantha?"

Sam nodded and tried to keep from bursting into tears. She had just been reunited with the boy that she loved and she wasn't even allowed to look at him anymore? She whispered under her breath, "Yes, sir."

"Good," Reed said as he made his way to the door. "Why don't you just stay in here a while? Really think about what you've done..."

He then closed the door and Sam sat back down on her bed, letting a few tears slide down her cheeks. She brought her legs over to the soft cushion and rested her head back onto her pillow, kicking off her shoes as she did so. She just wanted to die in that moment, never wanting to live another day like this...to have everything ripped away from her...by her dreadful brother.

Reed and Christina sat in a low lit restaurant in the upper side of Manhattan. Quiet music played in the background as the two sat, staring at each other. Reed wanted to know who James's father was and he was intent on finding out.

"Christy, you promised," Reed whispered as he stared the young woman down. She began to nervously play with her knuckles, trying to avoid his eye contact. "Just tell me..."

The silence took over again and Christina tried to think of the right thing to say to him. "I was so stupid..." She whispered, softly, just loud enough for Reed to hear her. "He said that everything would be okay, but then I took a test and well it wasn't so okay..."

Reed nodded his head and continued to look at her, reaching across the table to hold her hand. "Go on," He whispered to her.

"I never told him that I was..." She said, licking her lips as she spoke the words. "I hid it from him...tried to keep it a secret for as long as I could. But...then I started to get more and more along and I had to tell someone..so I told his parents."

"And what did they say?" Reed asked, growing more and more suspicious.

"Well," Christina began, still avoiding his eyes and staring down at the white tablecloth. "It turned that I was going to have twins...a boy and a girl. When I told them this, they made me a deal. Since I wanted to keep at least one of the babies, I would give them the other to raise and take care of."

"So you gave away your baby girl?" Reed asked, still keeping a curious gaze on the woman.

"Yes..." Christina whispered, as she felt a tear fall down her cheek. Reed tightened his grip on her hand and began to rub comforting circles with his thumb. "And I regret it everyday..."

"Christy," Reed breathed out. "You still haven't answered my question...who is that boy's father?..."

"Reed..." She began, as she looked him the eye finally. "You and I were so stupid back then..."
