I reach the hotel where tris is staying to surprise her. I knock on the door and no one answers. So I decide to come back later. As I am walking down the stairs to the lobby I stop in my tracks. I see tris but she is not alone. She is with that guy Sam and it already hurts to see her with him but then what happens next really puts a pain in my heart. They lean in and kiss. I quickly turn away because I can't bare to watch it anymore. I turn away and try to find a way to escape. As I slip out the door I feel stupid like maybe I was misreading the signs that tris liked me. Maybe it is time to forget about her and try and think about other things. But all the while as I made my way to the airport I thought if only Sam had not gotten in the way maybe it would be okay.

Sam drove me back to the hotel and walked me into the lobby.
"I had a really nice time with you today."Says Sam
"I did too." I say
But as I say that I can't help but ask myself the question do I really like Sam? Then he does the unthinkable he kisses me. At that moment I can't help but feel like someone is watching me.
