My brain was in hysterics. The events that I just witnessed were too much to bear. Revisiting what had happened at that bar, my eyes so badly wanted to open but for whatever reason, they remained closed. I was in an eternity of a nightmare. My mind could only remember the way our mate had called and reached out for us. I remember seeing the blood spill through her fragile beautiful fingers. My heart broke with the thought of her unfinished words as the bile and blood comes out her throat. Most of all, I couldn't get out of my mind the tears that she had shed as she looked in my eyes.

"Child, she wasn't looking into your eyes. She was looking at your back retreat from her." As if that voice had been the permission I needed, my eyes shot open. I came face to face with someone only a few were blessed to see. My mouth opened to speak but nothing had come out.

Why was the Moon Goddess here?

"Child, anyone who comes to meet me is an open book. All the walls that they have created, all the words they do not mean, their fake persona is gone before me."

The Moon Goddess looked so breathtakingly beautiful. Her hair was such a shiny blonde. Her eyes were so captivating that if you stared too long, you'd become breathless. She was a female like no other.

It was said that she was the first of our kind. An outcast to the world. Alone and broken by herself, she wandered through the Earth without a word or touch of human interaction. The story goes that when she found the one meant for her, she was in her worst phase ever. Her hair was a mess, her skin was smeared with grime and dirt, her body was far too skinny and she reeked of odor.

To some, it was surprising how the King had still thought of her as ravishingly beautiful. The Moon Goddess never understood how someone could be so loving and patient as the King was with her. Not only did he bring purpose back in her life, he had waited patiently for her to open up to him. He had waited for her to be ready to trust him before he made her his. Rumor has it that the Moon Goddess couldn't produce a heir for him and yet, the King stood proud and lovingly at her side never once going to another for a child.

"Yes, the rumor was true. I didn't produce a heir. I am here standing in front of you today for one purpose and one purpose only. You see, I am here because you have rejected someone very dear to me, that person is Desiree. She is my child just like everybody else is, but she is someone much more special. I never gave my mate a heir, a son.

I gave him a daughter. I was the first of our kind. It was scary to find out of my true nature. Desiree is that daughter. I have erased her memory on her true identity. Because even though I have the blessing to be the Moon Goddess to our people, it also comes with many sufferings. My mate and I could never meet our child. She may never know who her true parents are. Young man, I am going to give you a proposition."
