The pizza delivery man came quicker than expected; I had to hand Nina the money, so she could go pay for the pizza because she insisted to. I didn't know whether to take a liking to her independent side or if it bothered me because I was man and men were supposed to do things like that. She told me that I needed to rest my ankle and that she would be right back up, so that I had nothing to worry about. While she was gone, I seriously pondered over why I even invited her to stay longer in the first place. Yes, I had been a douchebag, but it wasn't a good enough reason for her to stay.

If she was some other girl, then I probably would not have asked her to stay, so the thought was just nagging my mind. I barely knew Nina, but she seemed like such an interesting person. I already noticed how she carried herself and I respected it, but she didn't need to help me. I guessed I felt kind of bad that she was helping me. She should have been doing something else with her night than helping some college kid.

I was shaken out of my thoughts when the door opened and Nina held two pizza boxes in her hand. She walked over to my bed and placed them beside me.

"Is it okay if I set the pizza here?" She asked.

"Well, you kind of already set it right there, so I guess." I shrugged my shoulders.

She was about to drag the chair from my desk next to my bed before I stopped her and said, "you won't be comfortable in that chair."

"It's good, but after a while your butt will start to hurt." I chuckled. "Maybe I shouldn't have picked the cheapest chair I could find at the store."

"Okay then." She laughed and sat at the edge of my bed. "What movie are we watching?"

"You know you can come closer, if you want to see the screen better." I laughed. "I don't bite."

Even though this situation was kind of weird for me as well, I wasn't going to let her see that. It was just something weird about Nina sitting on my bed. I didn't know why I had a problem with it. Why did I even care that she was about to be sitting so close to me? I bet if she was one of those girls from a frat party, then I wouldn't even be making such a big deal out of this. However, she was a tall woman made of nothing but confidence and that just really intimidated me.

"I didn't know if you were comfortable with me doing that." She laughed, moving to sit next to me.

I opened the pizza box and I picked some comedy movie that I had never seen before, and it was great. We laughed throughout the whole movie and it wasn't as awkward as I thought it was going to be. I could honestly say I would hang out with Nina again because she was a cool girl.

"So, I guess I'll head out now." Nina said, moving off of the bed.

"Okay." I nodded my head.

I started to get off the bed, wincing at the pain in my ankle. Nina hurriedly made her way to my side and stopped me from moving any further. She placed both of her hands on my shoulders and scooted my back closer to the headboard. I oddly looked at how gentle she was being with my ankle as she put my leg back on the bed.

"You didn't have to do that." I sighed. I absolutely hated getting help from anyone.

"Carter, I already told you, it's my job." She waved me off. "Why'd you even move in the first place?"
