"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"What am I doing here?" He stood up. "I should be asking you."
"I'm not supposed to give you details. You're not even worth our time." I said.
"Our?" He started walking towards me slowly.
"You know what I mean." I held Jessy's hand while she
was looking at us in a confused way.
"Oh by the way, you can go now, I'm going to stay with Jessy tonight." I turned to the stairs and started walking.
"Where's Alie?" I could feel anger and disgust in his voice. "Answer me."
I turned back to him. "I took her to the hospital."
"Don't lie."
"Why would I lie?" I raised my eyebrow.
"What's wrong with her?" It was obvious he was very worried and afraid that something had happened to her.
"She's fine. Her aunt is sick."
"Did she call you?" I could see he was annoyed.
"She called my sister, now are you done?"
He turned his face to the door and he was gone in two seconds.
----
MICHAEL'S THOUGHTS.
I still couldn't believe that she didn't call me nor did tell me that her aunt was sick. What am I here? A statue?
I live next to her but she preferred calling her best friend, and it doesn't end just like that, her brother comes with her and takes an advantage of the situation and finds it an opportunity to get closer to Alie.
I'll show you who Michael is, Alie.
I was in the hospital already trying to find the room number. I was very nervous and afraid that I wouldn't be able to control myself. I felt very disappointed, not only from Alie, but myself also. I wasn't that kind of a guy who would get angry and nervous for a girl, or would get jealous. Jealous? Oh please! I'm not jealous. No girl can make me jealous. Imagine ME getting jealous from John.
My thoughts were interrupted the moment I saw Alie crying while hugging Jane. I quickly ran to her and took her in my arms. All the feelings of anger and anxiety were gone the moment I saw my baby crying.
"M-Michael? What are you doing here?" She was surprised and was looking at me with her beautiful, filled with tear eyes.
"Shshhh baby." I put my finger on her mouth and wiped away her tears with my other hand. "Don't you cry, everything will be alright." I kissed both of her eyes and hugged her tightly.
"I love you Michael." She said while sobbing. "Please don't leave me, please."
I held her face and kissed her lips.
"Who said I'm leaving you? You're all I have now, you're my life now, I'm nothing without you, NOTHING."
She hugged me and closed her eyes. I could feel she was sleepy and tired.
"Hey baby?" I asked.
"Yeah?" She replied with a low voice.
"What's wrong with aunty?"
"She has a brain cancer. I didn't know about it until the doctor told me an hour ago." I started to regret for the things I thought when I was angry. Poor Alie. I felt very sorry for her. She had told me that her aunt was more valuable for her than her parents.
"Don't worry baby, she'll be fine." I kissed her forehead.
"Let's hope. The doctors aren't guaranteeing anything." She looked down to the ground.
"Whatever happens, I'm here for you." I said while trying to pull her body to me. I knew she would feel better. "I love you Alie, I love you."
She stared at me while smiling and answered.
"I love you too Michael."
