Chapter 9 (still)

**Bella's POV****

I was walking around the mall when I got a call from Hayes.
"Hey Hayes what's up?" I asked.
"Uh nothing, are you free today?" He replied.
"I'm actually at the mall, with a friend, but if you wanna join up that's perfect" i said.
There was silence for a second.
"K, I'll meet you by hollister" He told me.
"K! See you in a bit!" I answered. We hung up. I was with my friend matt, who was visiting from New Jersey. "Matt, do you mind If my friend meets up with us?" I asked. "Yeah sure that's fine!" He replied. Matt reminded me of Hayes. Matt has blue eyes, he's tall, maybe a little bit taller then hayes. We started walking towards Hollister. I was looking around and I finally saw him. He was leaning against a wall. His eyes immediately attached to mine. He seemed angry. We approached him. "Hey hayes! This is matt, he is a family friend from New Jersey!" I replied. "Hey man!" Matt held out his hand to hayes. "Hey! Nice to meet you!" Hayes answered back shaking his hand. "You guys actually have a lot in common! You guys both football players!" I told Hayes as we walked around the mall. "Matt is captain, isn't that cool?" I replied as I flashed a smile at matt. There was a weird silence. "So bella, what store do you want to go to first?" Matt broke the weird silence. "Umm.. Well I gotta try stuff on at forever 21, but if you wanna go with Hayes to a boy store that's fine!" I answered. "nahh, that's fine! I'll stay with you, i don't wanna leave you alone in this big mall" matt replied. Matt is so nice! He really cares. We entered forever 21. I quickly got some things and ran into a dressing room. Matt and Hayes sat outside the dressing rooms. I put on a blue sweater and a black skirt. "How does this look?" I asked. Matt quickly answered. "It looks great!" He replied. Hayes just nodded. He just looked at the floor. He seemed really upset about something. After we were all done, I walked home with matt. I couldn't stop thinking about why would Hayes be upset? I looked back a few times. Hayes walked home the opposite way as us. He walked home with his head down. Something was weird. He never was this upset. I dropped matt off at his hotel and I went home.
