Chapter 12

**bellas pov**

I threw my phone across the room, it landed in the corner next to my dresser. I looked out my bedroom window. My bedroom window looks right into Hayes' room window. I got up to see a closer view. Hayes was pacing back and forth with his phone clutched in his hand. He saw me standing there. He stopped pacing and ran to the window. He opened his window. I slammed my curtains closed. "Bella please!" He yelled. Damn. I left my window open. I slid my arms through the middle of the curtains and smashed the window shut. Just then my sister walked in.
"Bella are u ok?" Casey asked.
"Yeah I guess. Sorry that you couldn't finish your project" I replied looking down at the ground.
"Don't sweat it, it's due in another few weeks, but...I have to tell you something." She answered. "Have a seat."
I took a seat and my mind drifted off into wonders about what she will tell me.
"So... You know how mom & dad are clueless of what's going on? Well... They decided to get together with Grier's.. And they're coming over for dinner...tomorrow" she added.
"WHAT" I yelled.
"Bella you have no choice. Just deal with Hayes for one night." Casey said.
"Fine."
"Now get some rest, you'll need it."

****NEXT NIGHT****bella pov**

"Hey everyone!! Hayes you can go up to Bella's room, and nash you can go up to Casey's" I heard my mom say. "Chad, Elizabeth this is my sister in law Jessica. She has a son named matt, but he is with his other aunt tonight".
I finished putting on my hoop earrings, when I got a knock at the door. "Bella..it's uhh...me" I heard Hayes say. The door opened. I just ignored him as he walked in. He shut the door. I heard it lock. I turned around. He was wearing a black tie and a normal dress shirt. I was wearing a black pencil skirt and a silver blouse and silver hoops to match.
"why'd you lock the door?" I asked him.
"Bella, please, just hear me out..." He replied.
"Fine what".
"Come... Sit" he pointed to my bed.
We both sat down. He held my hand. I pulled away. What? He thinks we are friends? Ugh, no.
"Bella I'm really sorry, I thought matt was your boyfriend, I thought... You forgot about me" his voice trailed. I started to tear up.
"Hayes I'll never forget about you. Never in a lifetime (if you follow me on instagram 😋 haha)
He started to cry. I started too. "Bella I never meant for you to get hurt, I don't mind if you won't be my friend, but just don't be my enemy." He started to sob.
"Hayes. Stop" i lifed his chin up. I wiped his tears away. I gave him a hug.
"I am your friend, and I'll never be your enemy" I added. My makeup was smudged around my eyes and cheeks. Hayes got up. He picked up a tissue and started to wipe the makeup off my face.
"A beautiful girl like you doesn't need makeup to make her pretty" Hayes complimented. I smiled. I couldn't help but smile. He was magnificent. We just stared into each other's eyes...and before you know it....we....
