You're a cold-hearted and not a heartless. You should always have a soft spot for the people who you really cared for. It's not a sin to show how you cared for your love ones.
"RISE and shine sweetheart." Frost whispered to her daughter and Glaze just groaned. He turned to the window and opened the curtains.
"Get up Glazey!" He said and went back beside her bed. "Sweetie?" He said again and Glaze slowly opened her eyes.
Frost smiled when he saw a glint of happiness in her dull eyes. Her daughter rarely show an emotion. She's really a female version of him. Ganyan na ganyan din siya noong kabataan niya. Frost has a trust issues so he became cold to anybody not until he met Glaze's mother.
"Good morning daddy." She said and smiled a bit.
"Com'n get up we're going somewhere."
"HOW are you dad?" Glaze asked to her father while they are walking around the Burnham Park while they left her mother and sister in SM to shop. "You look tired. Why don't you try to relax and have a vacation?"
She was concerned on his health. Alam niyang masyadong nai-stress ang ama sa kanilang negosyo ngunit hindi parin naman ito tumitigil sa pagpapalakad nito.
"I'm fine." Nakangiting saad ng ama niya.
"But dad! You're stressing yourself too much. Just leave it for a while. I know that Mr. Caranto well take care of it." Ani niya habang tinutukoy ang sekretarya ng ama.
"I will only stop if you come on the right age to manage it." Mahinang saad ng ama niya saka sila umupo sa isang bench habang kumakain ng tacos.
"Why me?" takang tanong niya sa ama. "I think ate Stacey is more capable in managing it besides she's the eldest." Napailing naman si Frost dahil sa sinabi ng anak.
"I don't trust your sister on that. She doesn't have a heart to be a leader." Sagot niya sa kanyang anak. Nagkibit-balikat lang naman ang dalaga saka kumagat sa tacos na hawak niya.
"Where do you want to go someday Glaze?" Frost asked.
"Europe." Agad na sagot nito.
"Why?"
"I want to take a tour on every country of Europe. Their arts and history are so fascinating and also I want to visit their wineries and vineyards. I want to have one and make a famous wine dad."
"So be it."
MASAYANG pumasok ni Glaze sa kanilang klase dahil nakasama niya ang kanyang ama kahapon. Minsan lang niya nailalabas ang totoong siya kapag kasama niya ang kanyang ama o di kaya ay ang kanyang mga kaibigan.
"Hey what's with you?" untag ni Maeve sakanya. Napataas naman ng kilay si Glaze dahil sa sinabi ng kanyang kaibigan.
"Why?" She said.
"You are surprisingly radiating a good vibes today." Tatawa-tawang ika ni Walter.
"Whatever Tery" She replied while rolling her eyes on him. "By the way, na recieve mo ba yong email ko sayo kagabi about sa business plan natin?"
"Hindi pa. I haven't check my emails yet." Kibit-balikat na wika ni Walter.
"Ah, ok. Just check it when you already have a time para matapos na natin agad yon. Wala tayong aasahan sa isang groupmate natin."
Lunch came and as usual Walter, Jiroh and Glaze are in the cafeteria. Masayang nag kwekwentuhan at nagbabaraan ang tato ng biglang tumunog ang phone ni Glaze. She picked her phone and saw Maeve's message.
"Glaze, we're over. He' cheated."
Glaze immediately called Maeve and after 3 rings she finally pick it up. "Where are you?" Glaze said in a worried tone.
"Here at the coffee shop where we first met." Maeve said over the line before it ended. Kinuha ni Glaze ang bag niya saka siya tumayo.
"Hey, where are you going?" Takang tanong ni Walter sakanya.
"I'm going to kick some ass. Wanna come?" Sagot niya sa kaibigan.
"Hell yeah." Ani naman ni Walter saka tumayo at pati si Jiroh ay napatayo na rin.
"What's going on?" Tanong ni Jiroh habang naglalakad sila.
"That dick-headed Clyde cheated on Maeve." Inis na sagot niya. Nakalabas na sila ng campus ng mahagip ng tingin ni Glaze si Clyde sa gilid na may kahalikang babae. "Speaking of the devil." Bulong niya sa kanyang sarili. "Guys, wait here." Baling nito sa kanyang mga kaibigan bago naglakad patungo sa direksyon ni Clyde.
"Clyde." She said on her flirty voice. Napatigil naman ang lalaki sa paghalik sa kalandian nitong babae at napalingon sa kanya.
"Hey, baby?" Ani ng babae ngunit hindi siya pinansin ni Clyde.
"Glaze." Clyde said and smirk. Saka ito lumapit sa kanya. Glaze wear the same smirk as his before she kick his groin.
"Ohhh shit! Fuck! Fuck!" Sigaw ni Clyde habang namimilipit sa sakit. "You bitch!" Nanggagalaiting sigaw nito.
"That's what you get on messing and breaking Maeve's heart." Malamig na tugon niya.
"Babe." Sigaw ng babae at akmang hahawakan niya sana si Clyde ng sumigaw ito. "Don't touch me!"
"You bitch! How dare you to hurt him!" Sigaw ng babaeng kahalikan ni Clyde kanina. Napaismid naman si Glaze sa babae at akmang sasampalin sana siya ng babae ng may pumigil sa naka ambang kamay nito.
"Don't you dare." Matigas na ika ni Jiroh bago niya binitawan ang kamay ng babae. "You 'kay?" Tanong nito. At tumango naman si Glaze bago sumagot. "Yeah. Let's go."
"Hooh. That was sick!" Natatawang ika naman ni Walter bago sila pumara ng taxi at sumakay patungo sa coffee shop.
