A/N: Hey y'all! Sorry for not adding to this story for a while!!! I've been very busy. I hope you all enjoy this chapter. I love y'all! <3 Kitty
Throughout the night, I nuzzled my face into Kellen's chest. I tossed and turned, nightmares plaguing my mind. I felt Kellen nudge me, and I woke abruptly. My breathing was heavy, and I had sweat slightly. He looked down at me with soft eyes. His arms were around me, rubbing my back. He told me in a whisper to focus on my breathing. Eventually, my breathing evened out.
"It's okay," he said softly.
"Did I wake you up?" I replied, worried that he had not gotten enough sleep.
"No, I was awake. It's okay. Everything is alright. I believe you were having a nightmare?"
"I was in need of saving," I started with a groggy smile. "Thanks to you I'm alright." He smiled at me and sat up more straight. I propped myself up against him and saw Savannah on the couch. Brecken slept with a few blankets on the floor. I thought back to my nightmare, to the images of my parents dead before me. It felt like the weight of my brother's body was still on my chest. I began to cry quietly. The nightmare was too real for me to handle. I had nightmares like this ever since that day, but they had never been this real.
"Do you wanna walk out to the barn?" he asked softly. "It might help you become distracted a little. I don't know... It's just one of my ideas." I appreciated his thought. He cared, and I could tell. I smiled a little and wiped away my tears.
"I'd like to hear all of your ideas first," I whispered in response. He smiled back at me.
"Well, we could stay here and watch a movie on that computer over there with headphones, or we could go to the kitchen and raid it. We could go out to the barn, but it is very dark out there. You could try to go back to bed, but that's no fun." My grin widens a little, and I sniffle.
"We should stay here and watch a movie," I suggested. I climbed over him on my hands and knees, walking over to the dresser to grab my computer and headphones. Climbing back into the bed with him, I opened the computer on his lap and plugged in the headphones. We argued quietly for a little while about what to watch, but we finally decided on watching The Little Prince. It was an animated film, which I quite enjoy, and it looked very cute. The overall message of it was to live life freely without worrying about looks, money, or jobs. I liked the movie more than I thought I would, which was a pleasant surprise. We chose to watch Friends until we fell back asleep. As Rachel and Monica argued in the background, I looked up at him.
"Thank you," I mouthed. He nodded and smiled in response, looking into my eyes. He moved some of the messy hair out of my face. My heart began to beat faster, and I let out a short breath. I smiled nervously. His hand moved from my hair to my cheek. He led my face up towards him, and I pushed my body up so that I could move closer. I kept my eyes on him.
"You're beautiful in dim light," he began, "not that you aren't when there is good lighting. Erm... Yeah." I could tell he was nervous too. His lips moved in and pressed against mine. We moved our lips in sync, slowly and passionately. I shifted my body position so that my body was more against his. I tangled my legs with his as our lips moved together. I placed a hand on the wall we leaned against and the other on his chest. His hands slid down my side. When we pulled apart, we both breathed heavily.
"Y-you're perfect," I stammered. I was astounded that he had actually done that, but at the same time, I wanted him to do it again. He grinned at me and squeezed my sides.
"I could say the same about you." As he spoke, I readjusted my position. I sat on his lap, my legs spread on either side of his body. He looked at me; his eyes were filled with fire. He pulled me back too him, and we kissed again. This time our kisses were a bit more fast. My hips thrusted forwards slightly, and I put my chest on his. His arms wrapped around me; they flipped me over onto my back. Hovering over me, he continued kissing me, pinning my arms up by my head. When he finally pulled back, I looked up at him. My heart skipped a beat. At this point the computer was set on the bedside table. I squirmed a little and whimpered softly. He removed his hands from my wrists quickly.
