After hours upon hours of carriage travel (paid for by Percy's smuggled pounds), we had finally reached London. It being around noon, we decided to take a leisurely stroll to find someone willing to rent out a dinghy to two scruffy looking kids. Eventually, after a half hour of haggling, we were able to secure one from a suspicious character named Charon for only three shillings.
"Now, be careful wi' this one," he told us as we set off, "it's a wee bi' damaged 'cause two blokes took it sailin' in a thunderstorm las' week."
"Will do, sir! Have a lovely rest of your afternoon!" Percy waved at Charon after we shoved off.
"Now," Charon chuckled, "don' you kids be tellin' me wha' to do!" even though he was an old man, he certainly matched Percy's humor tenfold. So, we set off in our dinghy, with naught but my small case and Percy's rucksack.

We had been rowing around London's shore for about two hours, attempting to find some sign of Reyna and Annabeth's ship, The Scipio. It was a very large ship, so we shouldn't have had any trouble seeing it from shore. But alas, being a master of disguise meant that their ship was hidden from the wandering eye.
"I don't understand, it took me an hour to row from their ship to the shore..." Percy said, baffled, "We should be there by now!"
"Well, we're not there now, so why don't we just go to the nearest pub and drown our sorrows in liquor?" I was beginning to grow tired of endlessly rowing for a ship that probably wasn't even near London.
Percy looked disappointed, but eventually nodded. We turned our small boat around, unaware of what lay ahead (and what we'd leave behind).

A/N: Three good things happened today. 1) I got a B on my first midterm (take that, biology!), 2) I got a great grade on a project I was a bit concerned about, and 3) I bought two new books! Today was good. Anyways, thank you for reading! Next chapter is where things are going to start getting intense!
