Chapter 1

The summer air blows against my face, a smile grazes my lips at the warm sensation against my skin. I press the button near the handle that controls the window, making it go lower as I wanted more of the rare breeze.

Where my pack was located, summer felt like early spring and every other month felt like winter, so warm days like this was really not taken for granted by anyone which was shown by the large amount of people at the park, shops, beach and generally outside embracing the weather.

Right now, I was in a car with my high school best friends, except Denise was on his motorbike behind us.

"Heck yeah!" Charlotte squeals and pumps her jewellery filled hand with music that Isaac had going on the passenger seat.

Today is Isaacs turn controlling the AUX cord, since we constantly fought over it (mainly Sarah, Isaac and Noah) so we set out days.

I roll my eyes at Charlotte, I god damn knew she loathed this song, but because she was crushing on Isaac lately she somehow "loved" his choice of music.

Noah, who was driving, stops at the traffic light turning red. Noah was tapping the steering wheel with his fingers and lip synching Isaac with the song he had blasted on for us. Sarah was screaming at Denise from the window and talking with hilarious hand signals.

The inside of our car was loud, Charlotte, Isaac and Noah soon started screaming the lyrics and soon enough I joined.

"FUCK YOU!" Screams Sarah from beside me and I turn to her and see she is giving Denise, who was behind our car in his motorbike, her middle finger and from under his helmet Denise's eyes crease from his grin hidden under the helmet.

From my window view, I could see the park we were heading too had a lot of people there, the skateboard area had a bunch of teenage boys and some girls there, the playgrounds there was filled with kids and their parents chatting on the benches. There were a lot of people having picnics but thankfully our usual area was empty and had a slight shade.

Noah pulls up and parks beside our usual area, Denise's motorbike appears beside me, parking next to our car.
I pull up my window and leave the car, the intense breeze seemed to settle but nonetheless the weather was still amazing.

Denise takes off his helmet and comes beside me, "Did they get pepperoni?" He asks me, fixing his brown wind blown hair.
I nod, "They nearly forgot but Alice had to save the day," exaggeratedly I wink and he chuckles, putting an arm around my shoulder.

"My hero," he dramatically says and Sarah pulls the car bunker up for Isaac to get the many boxes of pizza.

"Your hero? I t-thought we had something special Denny?" Isaac wipes a tear and fake sobs onto Sarah's shoulder. Denise rolls his eyes and walks off to help out and Charlotte and I walk towards our sitting place.

"'Heck Yeah!'" I mimic lowly to Charlotte and she laughs and shoves me, "I actually kind of like the song now," she says in a 'matter of fact' way.

"Oh sure! You suddenly woke up in the morning thinking about your love of Isaac's favourite songs," I turn to her with a raised eyebrow, "Isaac's favourite songs," I emphasise and she giggles, "His cute and funny, not my mate but still a great guy,"
