Chapter 2

After the film was over and we were tired of all the singing along we did, it was slightly getting dark and we all started to head off home. After a call from my mother I knew it was my cue, I said my goodbyes and headed off home.

Denise didn't live too far from me, but it was still a walk to get home. Denise's father being Beta had a pretty modern and large house even though it was only him and his little sister.

Denise's mum was out, working hard with her husband, since they had a great position in the pack.

I pull my headphones out just as I leave Denise's house, and put in my headphones in, zoning out. I took small walks home, despite the darkness soon taking over the once warm, bright day.

The only reason for this is because I was stalling , I didn't want to go home to a mess which is what it usually was. Although my parents were mates, they constantly fought a lot.

It wasn't one sides fault, they both equally took the blame of ruining their relationship, constantly backfiring against each other. It's been three years of this constant bickering and arguing, only once or twice did physical violence become added to the equation but thank God it was a rare occasion.

My vibrates, receiving a text, "Meet me at the pack hall tomorrow at 3," Denise texts on our group chat and before I could respond, Noah and Isaac almost Instantly type back.

N- "Don't tell me what to do Denny boy,"
I-" I'll meet you when ever you like babe ;)"

I laugh out loud, I honestly loved them all so much, without them being by my side since I first started school I would've probably gone crazy, even the 'bad-ass' and 'cold-hearted' Denise was a real sweat heart and a great hugger. Sarah would beat up any assholes and Charlotte was great at motivational talks.

Soon enough Noah and Isaac begun arguing about mayonnaise on the chat and I turned off my phone and put it back in my pocket. I reach the corner of my block and I catch sight of my small, White House. There was both my parents cars parked, my stomach drops and my hands begin to go sweaty.

I hated fights, I hated seeing two people who love eachother fight and hate eachother. Especially when these people were your parents, family. If I had siblings this would be a lot more difficult but it's only me under a roof of screaming and sounds of objects being broken.

I pull out the keys and put it in the lock, entering the house. It was silent, which was very unexpected. I take a couple steps in before closing the door behind me.

At the sound of the door, my mother speaks up. "Alice? You home darling?" She calls out, her voice coming from the living room.

"Yeah mum," I respond before walking into the living room. My parents were both sitting on a couch and watching TV, probably the news or some criminal show.

I take a seat on the couch beside them, "How was work?" I ask. My mum worked at a local orphanage whilst my dad was a nurse.
They both nod, to entranced in the show.

"Did you guys hear about the news?" This time I got both of their attention, "What news?" My dad asks.

"Apparently, Alpha Nick is still having the meeting take place,"
My mum sends me a partially shocked look, "Has it been ten years already?" He asks my mum and she nods.
