<Faith's POV>
I ran in quickly and Beth was sitting on her bed with Judith in her arms. I melted inside at the sight of that.
Beth looked up and saw me standing there. "Judith's her name. Right?" I said, walking in slowly and sitting down next to her. She nodded and Judith smiled when she saw me, which just made me melt even more.
"Could I hold her?" I asked, my voice quiet enough for Beth to hear because Judith looked like she was dozing off. She smiled a little and handed me Judith. Judith's eyes were drooping close, and she yawned.
I started to sing a lullaby and rocked Judith back and forth. Beth seemed to know the song and starting singing along.
But wait, I was supposed to find my gun and knife so I could go look for Hershel. My singing faded and Beth looked at me with a confused look.
<Beth's POV>
"Why are you stoppin'?" I asked her, and she gave me Judith. She stood up and got her bag from her bunk.
"We're going to find your dad," she choked. What was she talking about? "He went to go get me bandages and he hasn't come back."
"What are you talkin' about?" I sounded worried. "We who? Who's goin'?"
"Daryl, Glenn, Maggie, Rick, and me." She said, grabbing out her pocket knife and her gun from her bag. "Don't worry, we'll be back." And with that she gave a long, heartfelt hug.
She turned to leave but I stopped her. "Wait are you leaving now?" I said, worry had taken over me. She shrugged. "Will you tell me when you leave?" She smiled and nodded.
"Everything will be okay." She put her hand on my shoulder and smiled. I nodded and she left. Leaving just Judith and me.
<Faith's POV>
A half an hour had past and we were already on our way. Carl had stayed with Beth, Judith, and the others. I had said goodbye to Beth and told her we were leaving. She was in tears, and she waved goodbye.
It's been a while now, and we had split up.
Maggie was with Glenn and Rick. So that meant I was with Daryl. I hadn't officially meant Daryl but I had heard from some of the others that he wasn't too homey to new group members.
"So Daryl," I started, trailing off to think of something. But I thought of something stupid. "How's it going?"
He stopped from his position and turned to me. He was really confused in my guess, because I probably asked one of the most typical questions.
He chuckled, "Fine." He turned back to his position and we continued walking, in awkward silence.
We keep walking, talk a bit, shot a couple walkers, and we came to a room strangely empty.
"I don't have a good feeling about this." I whispered. Daryl and I walked into the room quietly as we had weapons pointed in the air, ready for action.
We heard some movement in the back and Daryl motioned me to stay close as we walked to the back.
THUMP.
I yelped and I realized I just bumped into Daryl. "Sorry. I'm just-" I suddenly got pulled back and I was pinned to the ground, as a walker was snapping at my face. I started screaming and I tried to push it off, but for the strength of a 13 year old, I wasn't very successful. Daryl kicked it of me and shot it in the head with his crossbow.
"Thanks." I said and he helped me up. He said "your welcome" and we kept walking, then ended up in another room.
And guess who we found?
Hershel.
"Hershel! Oh my god!" I said, running over and hugging him. "Why are you in here?"
He showed us a small basket of cloth and bandages. "Just like I said." He said. He smiled as I grabbed the basket and he grabbed his crutches.
"Why did you even come all the way into a different part of the prison to get this stuff anyways?" Daryl asked, keeping his eye on the path ahead.
"I didn't have any more bandages left for Faith, so I left to go find some more." He replied. "I only came across 2 walkers. But everything is fine, nothing went wrong."
We just sighed in relief and made our way back. "I don't think Rick will like this." I heard Daryl mumble.
We finally got back. Beth and Maggie had their little reunion and everyone else hugged Hershel as well. Rick didn't look or react the way Daryl and I thought he would, he was just as happy as everyone else was.
"Well, we should really hit the hay. I'm really exhausted." Glenn announced. We all laughed.
"Like really hit it. I'm exhausted too." I playfully replied, causing the group to laugh even harder. I smiled and made my way to mine and Beth's cell.
I may not have Skyla, but this group will make a pretty great family.
