<Faith's POV>
I guess that night sleep was just what everyone needed. Except me. Yeah sure I fell asleep, but when I woke up, everything was still dark and I was wide awake.
I stumbled out of my cell, being careful not to wake up Beth. I still had my pajamas on and my hair was in a horribly messy ponytail. The cell block door creaked open as I walked out. It was dark outside, but the moonlight made it kinda easy to see.
I walked over to the bleachers by the basketball court and sat down.
"Nice out here, isn't it?"
I quickly turned around, and saw Carl standing there.
"What are you doing out here?" I said and he walked closer.
"I should be asking you." He said, and he took a seat next to me. "P.S. Nice hair."
I froze a little, then blushed because I realized my hair was still a horrible mess. I took the hair band out and redid it the best I could. But hey, I'm not perfect.
"Carl, you know you're not the nicest person to talk to at the moment." I joked. He just innocently put his hands up, and I playfully shoved him. Then we laughed.
"Although, you're still really sweet at the same time." I said, and I kissed him on the cheek, then walked back inside (more like strutted or something) and climbed back on top to my bunk.
Then next morning, I got up, and walked to the cafeteria. Carol handed me some eggs and I saw Glenn and Maggie call me over. I was confused but I walked over. I sat down and they both bombed me with the same question.
"What were you doing outside last night?"
They both sounded like two little kids, asking their parents for candy or something. I obviously knew what they were talking about, but I didn't know how much they actually saw.
"What are you talking about?" I said confused, with egg in my mouth. Maggie just stared at me, but Glenn continued.
"With Carl!" He whispered, trying not to attract anyone else. Okay, they clearly saw more than I thought they did. "We were in the watchtower when we heard you two come out."
"We couldn't make out what you were saying but we saw you kiss him and go back inside." Maggie said continuing.
"It was just a peck on the cheek! Nothing more, nothing less." I said. "Can you keep-"
But before I could finish, Glenn cut me off. "No! No, I can't."
"Why not?" I said, clearly confused.
"He can't keep secrets." Maggie said, as Glenn put his head down. "It's a long story."
"Okay, fine. Then don't you tell Beth or something? I was planning on telling her, but you can do it."
"I'm still keeping it from everyone else!"
"Well now I feel bad now."
"Don't be, I just got to forget about it that's all."
I just sighed, said bye to Glenn and Maggie, then gave my dish to Carol so she could wash it. I then walked outside, because I apparently have nothing better to do, and walked over to the graves the group buried.
I heard someone walk up behind me and I turned to see... Skyla?!
"Skyla?" I said, she couldn't possibly be here. I rubbed my eyes in disbelief and she was gone. I stood up, and stared off like I was looking for her, then I turned around and she was there again. I yelped a bit and fell backwards.
"Skyla, what the-" I stood up to see if she was truly there. I grasped ahold of her arm, and I was shocked. She's here! She's really here! I smiled hugged her tightly, as she wrapped her arms around me and I could feel her hand rub up and down my back.
"You're real! I can't believe it!" I cried. I tried to hug her tighter but I hit myself in the stomach. I opened my eyes and she was gone again. I started to cry as I dropped down to my knees. "She's not real. She's not real. I'm just imagining it. She's not real." I softly sobbed into my hands.
"She's not real."
