<Faith's POV>
"Do you mind if I ask you some questions?" Rick asked me, as he sat down.
I smile and nodded as I was eager to know what he want to ask me. I looked down at his feet and my smile quickly faded. This was going to be hard.
"How many walkers have you killed?" He started, he looked up but not at me.
I crossed my legs and thought about it. I couldn't think of what the exact number was. I never kept track. I have killed a lot. "Many." I answered.
"How many people have you killed?" He asked.
I froze. I haven't killed A WHOLE BUNCH of people, but the thought of just killing people made me horrified. I thought back to when I did in fact.
"Three. Just three and only three." I told him firmly, trying to hold back the tears. "My parents and one of my old group members."
"Why?" He asked, and he looked into my eyes.
I didn't know what to say. I looked down, I sighed, and looked right back into his eyes.
"Because I had to." I stated confidently but with hurt. I looked back down and I let my hair take over the front of my face.
All was silent, and I was starting to wonder why the others were taking so long.
"You can stay." Rick told me, and I was shocked.
"I... What?" I looked up with a confused look on me.
"You can stay." Rick said again, and I smiled in delight. "But one more question. Why do you smile so much?"
Is that a rhetorical question?
"My sister told me before we got separated that I shouldn't forget to smile." I told him, and I paused. "because I'm still alive."
He chuckled a little, and that made me feel happier inside. "Well, she's right." He said, and I nodded.
By then Carol, Beth, and Carl came in with the food, water, and clothes. They put them on the table next to the bed I was laying in.
"Thank you." I told them.
"Do you want me to help get you cleaned up?" Carol asked me sweetly. I shook my head yes and carefully got out of bed.
Carol helped me over towards the showers.
"I think I'm fine now." I told Carol, and I gave her a hug. "Thank you so much." She helped me get undressed, except for my 'undergarments'.
It felt nice to finally take a shower and not feel like I just got out of bed. About 10 times. I finally cleaned myself off and got my clothes on. I went over to my bag that I brought in with me. I grabbed my brush, and I put them back in my bag, and went back to Carol to get my cell and all that.
Beth let me share a cell with her. I get the top bunk because she slept on the bottom bunk. Her room was decorated with pictures and all that stuff. I set my bag on the top bunk, and Carl came in.
"Did you eat yet?" He asked me, as he leaned against the wall. I looked down at my stomach and it growled at me. I looked back up at him and blushed my little.
"I don't think I actually ate the food Carol brought me." I told him. He took my hand and we went back to the room I woke up in. Nobody was in there, but the food was. I thanked him finally and he left, with one of the biggest smiles on his face.
He likes me.
I sat there alone on the bed, eating the food Carol brought me. Then suddenly, Maggie popped her head in.
"Hello?" She said, her country accent echoed around the room. I looked up from my food, smiled, and waved hi to her as she walked in.
"How ya feeling?" She asked me. I completely forgot about my bandages. I took them off when I got in the shower, and threw them away. I also completely forgot about Hershel getting them for me.
"Fine. I just don't know where Hershel is, he went to get more bandages for me and still hasn't come back." I told her. "I'm starting to get a little worried."
Maggie had concern in her face.
"We could go ask the others if they had seen him. He couldn't have gone far." She said. She had worry and concern. I got up out of bed, with only three-quarters of my plate finished and we went off to find Hershel.
<Maggie's POV>
We came across Rick first. "Rick have you seen Hershel?" I asked him quickly, all the words came stumbling out of my mouth I felt like I couldn't even understand myself.
"No, just when he went to got get bandages." He said, he was starting to get worried also. "Why?"
"He hasn't been back since then." Faith told him, "I am starting to get worried."
"Alright. Maggie go find Glenn and Daryl. We will find him together." Rick firmly stated.
"What about me?" Faith exclaimed. "I wanna go too!"
"You need to finish recovering." I told her, putting a hand on her shoulder and bending down to her level. "Just stay here with everyone else, we will be back before you know it."
And with that Rick and I ran off in different directions, leaving Faith behind us.
<Faith's POV>
They left me behind. I want to help! I want to find Hershel with them! I mean it's just a few cuts and scrapes. And a gash in my forehead... But it won't make a difference!
I trudged off back to my food and sat their alone with my three-quarters of eaten food. I softly traced my hands across my wounds. They still hurt and sting a little.
Then Rick came in.
"We are going to search the prison. If anything happens lock the cell doors and hide." He told me. He gave me a hug and started to leave.
"Rick, wait!" He stopped and turned to me. "Please let me go. I'll be perfectly fine. Just please."
I stared at him and he looked down at his feet. "Alright fine." He said finally and I beamed. "But your staying behind me." I nodded and quickly ran to get my weapon I left in mine and Beth's cell.
