The Avengers rushed Diana to the hospital room in the tower. They all knew she wouldn't make it out. But today was sadly the day of love. Valentine's day. Steve gripped her body away from Clint's, and ran as fast as he could. He literally left them in the dust. By know his tears where splattering on her face. His eyes were starting to turn red. He clutched her body close to his chest. He couldn't lose her. He just couldn't. He cried and sobbed and stroked her hair. Finally he made it to the hospital room and he paced around anxiously for Doctor Banner. After five minutes the others arrived. Bruce pushed everyone out and tried to save Diana to the best of his knowledge. He called Steve back in. Diana woke up, her head was spinning. Her eyes opened half way,held down by how tired she was. Your skin had paled and so had her eyes. She heard a loud metallic beeping sound. Diana looked over and saw a heart monitor. She looked at her arms and saw cords running in them pumping medicine. Her chest burned but she kept herself awake. Diana looked and saw Steve crying. " Steve." She croaked. He looked up and dashed over to her side. " Hey there soldier." He whispered petting her hair. " I want to do something." He said. Diana looked at him curiously as he got down on one knee, in his to hands, he held a red, white, and blue ring pop. She smiled and started to cry. " Shh, okay. But Diana Storm will you marry me?" He asked. " Yes!" She croaked excitedly. He put the ring on her ring finger and kissed your forehead. She smiled weakly and cried. " Do you wanna sing a song?" He asked. Diana shook her head in response. " You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray. You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray." He started to sing he repeated the song because he didn't know it all. Diana croaked along In a sweet little voice. " Steve you are my sunshine. You always make me happy when skies are gray." You whispered. He hugged her. He looked over at the heart monitor. He looked at Diana. " What about... Hakuna matata, what a wonderful phrase!" He sang. " Hakuna matata ain't no passing craze, it means no worries for the rest of our days!" Diana sang along. Suddenly her heart rate began to slow. Diana looked at Steve and kissed his lips with her small ones before she closed her eyes. " No Diane stay with me! STAY WITH ME PLEASE PLEASE NO COME ON YOU CAN DO IT PLEASE NO!!!!!" He cried he tried doing everything but he couldn't. He got up and walked out slamming the door. The only sound that filled the room was a loud monotone beep staying in the same key. It was the bell of death.... Or at least that what it looked like till the super solider started hearing her voice yelling for him over and over again. He ran back to the room and as soon as he entered he remain stunned by what he saw. Diana was standing up on her own two feet but no longer looking 6 years old. It was like she aged and turned 12 years old with the blink of an eye and she would have nearly fallen over if Steve hadn't ran to her and held her as chose to himself as possible, kissing her with an open mouth on the lips deeply over and over again.
When he finally pulled away he picked her up and took her to his room where he layed her down on the bed, hugging her close to his body, where he promised he will never let her go... and he never did
