SURPRISES AND MORE.

Alexandra's pov:

"Wow, this is just so beautiful" I whispered as my eyes glowed in surprise. Entering the park, a slight breeze rustles the leaves making them fall to the solid ground one by one. The air was warm, the beams of sunlight glowing on my skin. Flowers are vast, and they conceal the freshly cut green grass.

A perfectly decorated table with white orchids and matching saucers. I couldn't control myself from giggling for the fact that he got a whole setup done.

"What was the need for that Arthur?" i asked with a raise on my brow.

He saw the shock register on my face before I could hide it. A small smile played on his lips, I guess he gets that a lot. It wasn't what he said though, his words were like vanilla pudding, sweet in their ordinary sort of way, it was the richness of his tones – luxurious and warm.

"May I?" Putting his hand forward with a cheeky smile awaiting for my acceptance.

Accepting his request as I smile back. "Don't you think a mat would have played a better part than a table?"

"Do you doubt I couldn't think of that?"  Pointing towards the tree. Under it was a mat with a basket full of fruits and cutlery, I never doubted his extents of being romantic.

I was quite impressed on how cool and amazing the environment was. we made our way to the table,as he opened the food wrapped in a silver foil paper, placing crispy warm bread rolls beside me on a white plate. In front of me were yellow balls of butter. Next, he pulled out a bowl of creamed spinach, dark green finely cut with the white cream and steam coming from it advertising it was freshly cooked. I inhaled the warm aroma unique to spinach.

We were almost done with enjoying the mouth watering breakfast, when he grabbed my hand pulling me over to the mat. A smile played on his face with fresh roses held towards me. I couldn't refrain myself from hugging him. This was the best thing that had ever happened to me. The happiness was infectious. It started with a tingle in my fingers and toes, much like the feeling i had when i was anxious, but instead of worrisome it's warm. I feel it pass through me like a warm ocean wave, washing away the stress of my day to leave me refreshed inside. Waves fades as i savour the memory of its gentle touch.

placing my shoulder onto his, as we leaned against the tree behind us, my fingers entangled  his, as he rubbed his thumb around mine. It was almost five minutes, we stayed quite saying nothing but staring at the beautiful sky with birds flying all over. He slowly moved his face towards mine with a soft smile on his face, staring deep into my eyes. His face bent down into mine in slow motion, like a dream, blurred, and then disappeared as i felt his hot mouth close over mine.

Those lips met his and mine, world exploded into shards of molten light. His grip tightened across my shoulders, pulling me into him, pressing himself into. I knew his other hand steadied the scope, knew the pull of his constellations, his star world, not caring as my hungry mouth melded into his, the arctic chill forgotten. The tip of his tongue brushed my lips.

I pulled myself back with a soft satisfying smile, hugging Arthur and appreciating every bit of his presence in my life. "I've something for you." Placing a soft kiss on my cheek as he whispered.

"And what's that?" I whispered back a smile eternally stained upon my lips. My joy, my love, my laughter, my cheer. All would reach the ears of those who have forgotten the warmth of such harmonies.

"Come-on, the park wasn't as to why you had to put on an elegant dress innit?" Helping me stand up as he winked at me mischievously. I couldn't resist the happiness bursting within. I felt like screaming and telling Arthur how I felt for him, but this wasn't the right time yet.

Holding on to my mixed emotions of fear and excitement, as I slide into the car. His face portrayed an image of a young child who was happy with what he received. I couldn't stop but admire how lively and attractive he looked. Arthur had lost his smile after his mother's second marriage and often kept up with his grumpiness.

"Are you ready for this beautiful?" Excited as he was, opening up to the door and taking my hand into his. We stopped by a mall that looked no less than a luxurious mansion. Everything was elegant and stylish, as we stopped by at a huge jewellery shop.

"Arthur, why are we here?" Curiously asking, as he placed a finger on my lips and made gestures with his eyes. Holding on to my wrist, as we walked towards the counter. "Welcome miss Alexandra." A warm welcoming smile played on the sales lady's face, walking  in and returned with a box in her hand.

"Please have a seat." Pointing towards the seat, placing a box over the glass counter. Without waiting any longer, I picked the box up, quickly opening it. My eyes grew wide in surprise, as I saw a beautiful elegant Sterling Silver ring right in my hands. I couldn't believe how secretive and quite romantic Arthur was.

Taking it from my hands, as he knelt down with a smile on his face. People gathered around us and a troop of musicians stood right besides us, playing a soft romantic tune with guitars and flutes. I covered my mouth from the surprise Arthur just gave me.

"Will you accept me to be yours, and you to be mine?" With a twinkle in his eyes full of emotions.

"Is that how you propose?"

"Alex, my knees, will you?"

I laughed at face expressions he made, when I finally placed my hand forward. "Yes Mr Arthur yes!!" I accepted with a wide smile on my face. Loud cheers and applause of audience vibrated in my ears as Arthur carried me and placed a kiss on my cheeks.

"Thank you for accepting me and us." He appreciated with happiness all over his face.
