I wake up and just like always I'm crying, only this time I know exactly why.

Because of himAna hisses. I groan and attempt to hide under my pillow.

Maybe that wouldn't be such a failed attempt if you weren't so fat! Mia points out.

Well done yesterday, you only ate breakfast that whole day. Ana grins. She's right.

"No, no, no, no!" I silently curse. How did I forget? I can't do this to myself again. I wont let them turn me into that again.

"Taylor, breakfast is ready!" Mum calls. I check my clock. 8:17. I'm going to be late; school starts at 8:30 and knowing me, I'll never get there in time.

I brush my teeth, my hair and change clothes in a record time of 12 minutes and 31 seconds and if i skip breakfast and run to school I should be able to get there just a little late. I grab my bag and run down the stairs and for a minute get lost in a vision of the perfect family that i used to have: Me, my mum, my dad and my older brother, Steven. We're all sitting around the kitchen table, happily eating breakfast and my plate is filled up to the top and I'm scoffing it down as if it were nothing. My face is covered in chocolate and my mother wipes it off and laughs at my sillyness and i give her a gap toothed, dimpled grin back. Dad and Steven are arguing about who is better , Man United or Arsenal, just like always.

That was 6 years ago, when life was easy.

"Come on Tay Tay, eat up quick unless you want to be late for school?" Mum teases, interrupting my thoughts. I shake my head.

"Sorry, don't have time!" I call out and run out the door. I don't have to see the look on their faces to know exactly how they feel. Confused, dissapointed and upset. I get to school late, shocker right?

"Miss Adams you're late." Mrs Douglas, my maths teacher, quite so rightly points out. (authors Note: I changed Taylor's surname from Wei to Adams sorry if I made you all confuzzled >.<)

"So I am." I say fidgeting slightly. She stares at me with her hawk like eyes and strokes her fuzzy lady beard as if in thought. After about a minute she decides she's done thinking.

"You can sit next to Allison, Allison put your hand up." She commands and a girl with a wispy blonde bob and green glasses shyly raises her hand, half hiding her face behind her exercise book. I coolly take long, slow strides to my seat. I note that Chase isn't in this class and nearly jump for joy.

"Hey I'm Allison but call me Ally." Ally greets coyly.

"I'm Taylor." I smile. She smiles back and we both laugh at some unknown joke.

"Now then class, let's continue on with the lesson..." Mrs Douglas drones on. Ally and I discreetly pass notes all through out the lesson and I find out that she only started going here two months ago. After only passing notes for under an hour I feel like I've known her for at least a year and I can trust her with my deepest secrets. The bell rings and we both head to Science with Mr Burns.

"Mornin' Sir, this is Taylor she's new." Ally says confidently, seeming a lot less shy than when we were in Maths.

"I've been expecting you." He croaks, handing me my exercise book. He nods his head and I see my reflection in his shiny bald spot. I instantly feel sick, I look disgusting. My cheek bones are hollow, my eyes look tired and droopy and my skin looks really pale and slightly grey.

"Come on." Ally grabs my hand and pulls me towards a table dominated mostly by scene/emo kids wearing dark or insanely bright clothing. "Hey guys this is Taylor."

"Hey I'm Maddox and this is my gang of thugs that beat up hobos and turtles." An akward looking boy with black spikey hair, hazel eyes and porcelain skin greets.

"Hi?" I question puzzled.

He chuckles slightly. " No, this isn't really my gang of thugs that beat up hobos and turtles but I really am Maddox. He grins at me and I grin back, still slightly confused.

"I'm Alex." A girl with dark brown hair and clear blue eyes smiles nervously. She's one of the few that isn't wearing really dark or bright clothes. I smile back.

"Trent." A boy with even blacker hair than Maddox, just as dark clothes and a lip ring murmurs. He opens his eyelids to reveal the prettiest grey eyes I've ever seen. They're almost silver. I bite the inside of my cheek and force myself to look away.

"Hey I'm Addison and this is Madison..." A girl with fiery orange hair and hazel eyes with a rim blue around the outside says pointing to an almost identical girl if it wasn't for the fact that she is more of a strawberry blonde.

"... But you can call us Addy and Maddie." The strawberry blonde girl cuts her off.

"Hey." I grin. "So which one's the clone?"

"She is!" They both shout pointing at each other. "No I'm not, yes you are!" They both giggle and hug each other.

"Aw." I sigh. I wish my brother and I were like that. We aren't twins but we're still siblings.

"I'm Tristen." A boy with blonde hair that covers his eyes greets. He's another one of the few that doesn't wear dark clothes. "This is David, he doesn't talk much." Tristen points to a boy with brown hair and brown eyes, who seems too engrossed in his work to even acknowledge my presence.

The lesson flies by really quickly  and so does the rest of the day. I meet lots of potential friends in all of my lessons and barely even talk to or see Chase. I decide that I do like this school after all and I'm glad my mum made me go here. I even ate a whole slice of pizza for lunch. I also had chips and I actually enjoyed every single bite. Maybe this won't be as hard as I thought.
