2.)First day at Ridgewood and "our lake"

(This chapter is gonna have Imani and Mateos POV switching back and forth so bare with me!)

It was 6 AM and the song Crooked Smile by J.Cole & TLC played as my alarm and I groaned and turned it off.

I layer in bed and began to fall asleep and my phone went off as my 6:15 alarm went off and I turned my phone off. I got out of bed and stretched my body as I walked to my bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror and saw that I still had Mateo's hoodie on him and it smells just like him😭.

I stripped out of my clothes and I hoped into the warm shower and I scrubbed my body with warm vanilla sugar body scrub and I washed my face in the shower and brushed my teeth. It saves time and we got. Ills to pay okay and it gets the job done so don't look at me sideways aight? I wet my hair and detangled it with my denman brush and I hopped out of the shower with my towel.

I went to my dresser put on my vanilla and sugar body lotion all over my body and I added some of PINK's 'warm and cozy' perfume. Then I put on my black bra and underwear. I pulled out an outfit to wear so I decided to look decent today and put on a olive green cropped t shirt and put on some black leggings and my grey wolf 11's along with a black bomber jacket.

I filled in my eyebrows to give it some fleek youknowwhatimshayin?😛. I put some mascara on my long lashes and added black eyeliner to my waterline to make my eyes pop. I added some hair products to give my hair definition and shine. I added some lip balm to my lips. I heard my phone ring and my mom was calling.

"Imani Bebe, you ready for your first day?" She said through the phone.

"I kind of nervous but other than that I'm fine." I said

"Yeah cause you have Mateo to keep you safe huh?" She said and I could hear her smirk 🙄

"Mom stopppp." I whined on the phone.

"I'm just messing with you. Anyways I'm at work, they wanted me here first as soon as possible. Your car is in the driveway and text me when you get to school okay Bebe love you." She said.

"Love you to mama." I said with a smile and I hung up the phone.

As soon as I hung up Mateo called me and my stomach did somersaults. I quickly answered and I heard his voice.

"Rise and shine M&M!" He said.

"Good morning Mateo." I said happily. I saw his figure through his window and we waved frantically at me like he did yesterday. I laughed and waved back at him.

"How are you getting to school M&M?" He asked while he was tying up his shoe lace. I found it funny how he was talking to me while im walking distance but I'm not complaining.

"Umm, im driving there." I said not sure where he was going with this.

"Let me take you, We can get some breakfast before we go!" He said enthusiastically.

"Umm Mateo I do-" i got cut off by the doorbell ringing. If this nigga...

I ran down the stairs and opened the door only to see Mateo standing there with him swirling his keys around his fingers.

"Come on, let's get breakfast and I'll drive us." He said.

"Fine, we can get breakfast but I'm driving. I just got my car so I'm trynna flex." I said while sticking my tongue out. 😜

He rolled his eyes and I laughed. We got into my car and drove off to wherever this fat ass wanted to eat at.

As I drove, Mateo and I talked about everything. Even though the drive was short, he really had a way of not making things awkward at all considering the fact that I met him yesterday.
