Chapter 3

Nadine's POV

I stepped outside the store of F21. Seriously, halos lahat ng store na pinuntahan ko ay parehas lahat ng mga designs sa damit. Wala man lang bang naiiba?

I'm actually looking for black bateau dress for tomorrow's Eileen debut party. Black and white ang theme ng party and I am assigned to wear black while James's assigned to wear white tux. Eileen is James's closest cousin kaya naman ay invited kami sa party.

"Find anything?" James asked as I went to his side. He decided to sit nalang sa bench dito sa mall instead of joining me on shopping. You know, boys.

Umiling ako, "No. Hon, there must be another store, right? Why can't I find the dress I want!?" I screamed and pouted. I'm already 23 and yet I still acts
like a kid. Well, who cares about that?

"Hush hon, I'll just call my designer to find the dress you want. Ano nga uli yon?" he asked and tapped his cellphone as if calling someone. Sinabi ko naman kung ano yung gusto kong dress at yun naman ang sinabi nya sa designer niya kuno.

"Hello Diana," rinig kong sabi ni James.

"Can you find a black bateau dress? Pupunta kami dyan mamaya para masukatan mo ang asawa ko," aniya

"Is it still available?"

"Sige, I'll buy it. We're on our way." at ibinaba na niya ang kaniyang cellphone.

"So, ano na daw?" I asked him

"She knows a store who's selling the dress you want. Ico-contact pa daw niya. Tatawag lang daw siya ulit pag meron na," and then he smiled.

I can't take away my eyes from his face. I wanted to memorize all his features since he's leaving a week from now. Kinda sad, yes. But hey, atleast pinayagan siya ni dad na one month lang doon. Supposed to be three months sya magst-stay doon but then again, he can't afford a day without me so he asked dad instead of three months, gawin nalang one month. Mabuti naman at pumayag si dad.

Lumabas na kami sa mall at nasa may basement na kami nang may tumawag sa kanya.

"Hello?" sabi niya at tumingin saakin, "Did you find the dress we're looking, Diana?"

"Okay. We'll be there in ten."

At binuksan na niya ang pintuan ng kotse, allowing me to enter before him. James is such a gentleman.

Pinaharurot niya ang sasakyan papunta sa store kung saan ang opisina ng designer niya. We stopped in a high-class boutique atsaka lumabas na.

The boutique is named Diana's therefore, yung kausap ni James kanina ang may-ari ng boutique na eto. Well, certainly not a surprise though. Maraming kilala ang pamilyang Reid na mg establisyimento at isa na siguro doon ang botique na eto.

"Good morning sir James! On the way na po daw si Kristoff, ang deliverer ng Janella's. Upo po muna kayo." sabi nung babae atsaka inilahad ang sofa na nasa tapat namin

Umupo kaming dalawa ni James at naghintay. Biglang tumunog ang cellphone ko at nag-abalang sasagutin ko ba o hindi.

In the end, sinagot ko pa rin ang tawag. But I went out of the store para hindi marinig ni James. Not that I'm cheating on him but I think it's not a good idea if I let him hear our conversation.
