Dust Is Not Good Enough 2 - Love Bites

Chapter 6

As I lay there at the bottom of the deep blue I thought of everyone I loved and how I was never going to see them again. Vampires can't swim you see at least not after night fall, and I couldn't turn into a bat as it would require all my energy and oxygen in order to change, not to mention the weight under the ruff waves would crush my poor creature to death before I even started to choke for air.

So instead I just lay there staring at the dark sky above through the water, thinking of my parents back in England, Katy and Aidan back at the beach hut, Rydian as dust in my jam jar and Flynn! The first proper boyfriend I have ever had that hasn't hit me or bitten, me or cheated on me, or tryed to suck my blood. No he was Flynn and I will never meet anyone else as kind hearted and cute as he was.I swear I could still see his tall body swimming towards me, his brown curls brushing against my face and his lovely, light blue eyes staring into my pink ones. The hand of the so called Flynn reached out and grabbed my hand and placed his other arm around my waist.

My chest was aching now and I felt very tired. I knew it. I was dead and Flynn was just a dead dream. Yes I am already dead, but I can still turn to dust in a human like death experience and drowning is one at the top of the list. That was when I knottiest the hand was pulling me up, back to the surfis! Back to safety!

I was dragged back up the gritty sand, spitting out salt water as I went. The ruff waves had ripped my skirt, but lucky for me it had two layers of fabric and one of the strappes from my t-shirt had completely broke, however my breast were keeping it up for me so no one could see anything. And there his face pail and his hands not moving from my body was Flynn.

Not a dream the real Flynn!

"Are you ok?" He asked panting for breath. I just stared at him in his sparking eyes.

"Yes, i'm fine what about you? Are you hert?"

"No, I am fine just wet!" He said smiling at his own little joke.

"I am so sorry!" I cried wrapping my arms around his neck. "I ruined our beautiful beach, sunset kiss!" He kept smiling even though his toothy grin had gone.

"It's fine, it wasn't your fault!"

"But..." I said back knowing now was a time to tell better than anything. If the kiss didn't kill him then it definitely caused the waves to crash.

"Wait... did you say sunset?" He interrupted. The sparkle in his eye had gone and now all I could see was fear. What was he so scared about?

He lifted his head to face the moon that had just come from above the towns roofs, I knew something was wrong there and then. He suddenly dropped me onto the sand and reached his hands up to his head. Grabbing onto his hair and pulling it as if he was going mad. He started to grow taller just like that and fur started to grow out his hands and bear feet.

His shirt an jeans ripped as the legs and arms grew bigger and hairyer inside.

"ohwwwwww!" Flynn kept shouting; like a dog on bonfire night. Then everything stopped! The waves stoped moving the cars zooming down the road disappeared. All that was left was me and the monster in which Flynn had turned into.

A giant hairy beast, his clothes compleatly broken on the floor and a huge snout on his head stood wimpering before me, like a new puppy asking for it's mother.

"F..Flynn? I asked wondering if he was still inside. The huge wolf lifted his head to look at who was speaking to it. When it did so the last bitch light blue disappeared from the eye of Flynn to be replaced by a deep sickening, evil yellow. Even Katy's eyes where not that colour - they were a deep ruby red!

"Howoooooo!" The monster tryed as it created closer and closer towards me.

" Get away... get away you creep!" I shouted and the wolf stopped dead at my words. A creep? Why did I call Flynn a creep? I am the frickin' vampire!

At that very thought the wolf ran into the trees at the end of th beach leaving me in compleate confusing lying on the beach with nothing, but the remaining clothes of Flynn and the faint light coming from the boat house and full moon.
