"Hey, I know we don't really talk but since we go to the same school-" she begins. "Sorry, Bella. We're two years apart and have nothing in common. Plus, you'll make friends easy, specially ones that work with the paper." I say. "Why the paper?" She asks. "Nothing happens here, a new student is what they're looking for. I gotta go." I say walking to the door. "It's really early." She says. "Yeah, but I'm walking with my friends." I say. "Oh." She says. I walk out and see my friends and walk with them. "How's it with your sister?" Micah asks. "Terrible. She tries to make conversation like we've spoken since I was born. We're total strangers but she's acting like we're best friends." I say. "Cut her some slack." Max says, slinging his arm around my shoulders. "She is new." Nick points out. "Really? I never knew that." I say, sarcastically. They all chuckle and we continue walking. Let me tell you about us, Micah is smart and speaks her mind, she doesn't care who you are if you make a rude comment towards her or her friends it's World War III. Kevin is clumsy, funny, and takes a minute to realize what's going on. Nick is the exact same as Kevin, clumsy, funny, and a little slower than most of us but they're both smart and good friends. Max is funny, sweet, and if you mess with him, his family, or his friends it's World War III. I'm sarcastic, smartest of the group, a nerd, a bookworm, and funny. Places in the group are Micah the leader, me the brains, Max second in command, Nick and Kevin the back up. Nick and Kevin are best friends practically brothers, they have each others clothes at the others house. Max and I are like brother and sister, we have clothes at each others houses. Kevin and Micah are dating, they are really good together. We all see each other as siblings, but Kevin and Micah don't see each other as siblings. We know that when ever we need someone, we are there for each other. We all know each other's tells; how we know they're lying. Nick and Kevin, you just look at them and they cave. Micah starts saying "whaaat? I'm not lying if that's what you're thinking", but she can lie to other people but not her parents or teachers. Max scratches the back of his neck, sweats, and stutters. I smile really big and start laughing when I lie.
***after school***
"Hey, Avery. I can give you a ride home." Bella says walking near me out of school. "I'm going to eat out with my friends, sorry." I say to her. Max puts his arm around my shoulder, Kevin puts his around Micah's, and Nick is walking beside Kev. Bella eyeballs Max and walks to her truck that Jake worked on.
