Glass's heart beat uncontrollably in her chest as she felt the rig swerve off the road and into hostile territory. The buzzards would be on their tail soon enough.

She gripped even tighter to toasts hand as Ace, one of the war boys on the supply run began to question Furiosa. All of the war boys that had decided to assist would without a doubt be confused. Even if they could get through the Buzzards territory unharmed the war boys would realize sooner or later that they were working with a traitor. Glass took a deep breath and gave Toast a hopeful smile. All they could do now was wait and pray.

Glass had hoped that Maybe things wouldn't be too hectic to try and get some amount of rest but it proved to be increasingly difficult. The two engines rattled below them and the war boys hollered above, making for a very unforgiving environment to do anything besides worry. She rubbed her eyes and let her hands rest against her face. She couldn't even begin to express how badly she wanted to be out of the rig. It hadn't been long since they had begun to drive but not being able to see anything that was going on infuriated her. She shook her head and stifled a loud groan that would most likely get them killed if she hadn't.

"Uh oh.." Capable whispered as she stared wide eyed at the brown dust the slowly clouded the opposite end of the rig.

"Shit..." glass mumbled under her breath. Furiosa had warned them about the dust but they hadn't thought it would be such a large amount that it would really make any sort of a difference. Glass slowly shuffled over to the small crack in the rigs interior that the dust was seeping in through. She attempted to shove on of the blankets on top of it but it seemed to find even more ways of getting through. "We can't stop it." Glass closed her eyes ran her eyes down her face.

"We have to tell Furiosa." Splendid got on all fours and began to crawl over to the small door that gave i access to the cab of the rig. I raised my eyebrows and shook my head at the pregnant girl.

"Splendid, are you kidding me? No one is going to let you through there. It's not safe for the baby." Glass crawled over to the splendid, she seemed to be fighting with the latches that kept the door closed. Glass gently pushed her away and quickly unclipped the leather clips. She glanced at the rest of the wives and gave them a smile before she began to make her way out of the armoured rig and into plain sight.

"I am protected, I am safe." Glass whispered the words miss Giddy had told her to say whenever she felt scared. Of course the young girl would never admit that she got scared but it seemed now that they had come in handy. Glass raised her arm to shield her eyes from the copious amount of sand stabbing against her skin, but without being able to see she couldn't move fast enough to not be spotted by the quickly approaching buzzard vehicle. She tore her arm away from her line of sight and instead replaced it with a stray piece of fabric from her flimsy dress that seemed to be steadily becoming less and less of an outfit. She rapped the transparent piece of cloth across her eyes and began to crawl carefully on top of the hitch that kept the two parts of the rig attached to each other. She heaved a heavy sign of relief when her hand wrapped against the handle that pulled the metal hatch open. She wasted no time opening it and getting inside the small space just as a buzzard pursuit vehicle sped past her and matched its speed with Furiosa. Glass brushed the stray hairs out of her face and took a few deep breaths before revealing herself the Furiosa.
"We can't breathe down there!" She yelled over the rumbling engine of the pursuit vehicle riding beside the rig.

"Stay out of sight!" Glass ducked down just as the spinning head of a circular saw began to carve into the side of the rig, making sparks fly everywhere. Glass let out a cry of pain as several of them began to burn away at her back and the tender skin on her shoulder.
She slid back down into the smaller space and pushed the rusted metal hatch shut and began rubbing at the minor burns covering her back and shoulders. Of course trying to do some good backfired on her. She squeezed her eyes shut and began hammering it against the back of the hole, silently cursing at herself while doing so.

Glass began coughing uncontrollably as the seemingly air-tight space she was confined to began to quickly fill with the same dust that forced her out of the rig in the first place. Her eyes widened as the air she had been breathing replaced itself with the sand. She clawed and banged her fists against the hatch in a desperate attempt to open it but since she had last used it just minutes earlier, the door had been lodged in a slightly crooked position that prevented her from opening it. She couldn't go out like this, she had survived so much worse in her short life. How could she let a little dust take her out?

With the last bit of breath she had gathered, Glass emitted a raspy scream that seemed to be mostly carried away by the dust. She banged her fists repeatedly on the metal hatch until she felt herself grow weak from the lack of air and amount of effort she was putting into something that clearly wasn't working.

With one final forced breath, she slipped away.
