Three Months Later
Harry walks in the front door taking off his utility belt so he can lock in the safe while at home, taking a deep breath he smiles. One thing he's learned, living with Jackie, for the past six months is her love for cooking, and damn if she's not good at it, Harry thought as he makes his way to the kitchen. When he gets to the kitchen he finds it empty, frowning he looks in the dining room then the livingroom, coming up empty in those rooms he heads for the bedroom. Opening the door Harry looks around the bedroom and still doesn't see Jackie, getting worried he walks toward the bathroom when he hears a noise, picking up his pace Harry taps on the bathroom door.
"Jack? Babe, you okay?" He asks. The door swings open and he can see Jackie sitting on the floor. "No, I hate being sick." Jackie moans, then gags and crawls quickly to the toilet.
"Oh babe." Harry sighs as he kneels down beside her to hold her hair back. When she was done he picks her up, sets her on the counter and hands her her toothbrush. "How long you been sick?"
"It just hit me actually." Jackie says after she spit the toothpaste in the sink. "I started supper, when I added the garlic I got sick." Jackie says.
"Are you okay now?" Harry asks.
"Yeah, I think so." Jackie says, jumping off the counter. "Nancy is coming for supper, so is Momma Anne. Oh and Amber had a girl, an hour ago, Aunt Marty called."
Harry smiles. "Did she tell you what they named her?" He asks.
"Of course, I had to write it down. Hell it made cry." Jackie tells Harry as she picks the paper up. "They named her Jacqarry Anne Johnson." She says showing Harry the paper.
"You've got to be kidding me, they named their kid after us and mom?" Harry asks.
"Yep, Amber said we were alway so nice to her when we were kids. So combining our names was her husband's idea." Jackie laughs. "It's a good thing our names go good together, just like us." She says as she wraps her arms around Harry's waist from behind.
Harry covers both Jackie's hands with one of his. "Yeah, I'd hate for that poor girl to go through life with a name like Harryjack." He laughs as he lifts the lid of whatever it is Jackie has simmering.
"Oh you." Jackie giggles as she slaps Harry's ass, then she slaps her hand over her mouth and runs to the sink as soon as the garlic smell hits her.
"Babe, are you sure didn't eat something bad for lunch?" Harry asks as his mom and Nancy walk in.
"Well if I did so did you, and I don't see you puking your guts up." Jackie moans. "Harry we always eat off the same plate." She reminds him.
Harry holds Jackie close. "You're right, I'm sorry. We'll figure this out, babe don't worry."
"Everything okay here?" Anne asks as she and Nancy walk the rest of the way into the kitchen.
"Yeah, I think Jack has a stomach bug though." Harry says.
"Oh? When did this start?" Nancy asks. "I might be able to help figure out what's wrong, I was a nurse." She reminds Harry.
Jackie turns, but stays in Harry's arms, to look at Nancy. "It basically started when I started cooking, but only when I added the garlic." Jackie says.
"Hmm. Okay, here's what I suggest. Line up the spices you used while cooking." Nancy says. "Smell them all, see which ones make you sick, if it's just the garlic you'll know not to use it anymore."
"But we love garlic." Jackie cries.
Anne smirks and looks at Nancy, when Nancy nods Anne looks back at Harry and Jackie. "Well then I guess you'll just keep getting sick during this pregnancy. Kiddo you have to make some sacrifices if you want kids." Anne and Nancy laugh at the look on Harry and Jackie's face.
Harry spins Jackie around to face him. "You're pregnant?"
"I am?" Jackie asks, then throws her hands in the air. "Hell I don't know any more than you do, why you asking me? I didn't even know what a condom looked like until you showed me." Jackie snaps causing the other three to laugh.
Harry pulls Jackie to him, holding her tight. "God babe I love you so much." He laughs.
Jackie wraps her arms around Harry's waist. "Do you think I could be pregnant?" She asks as she lays her head on Harry's chest.
"I sure hope so." Harry sighs as he kisses her on the top of the head.
Jackie giggles. "Yeah, me too." She says. "But, I'm not eating that." Jackie says pointing to what she cooked.
Anne chuckles. "How about I cook you something different? You three go to the livingroom, away from this smell, get to know each other better. I'll let you know when I'm done."
"Wonderful mom." Harry says. He then turns and leads the way to the livingroom, he motions for Nancy to sit, he then sits in his chair and pulls Jackie into his lap.
Nancy smiles. "Is there ever a time when you're not in his lap, Jack?" She asks.
Jackie frowns. "At work, he has his office I have mine. Other than that, no, this is how we sit." She says.
"That's so amazing." Nancy says. "It's so good to see true love isn't just in romance novels and two prominent people in our town aren't afraid to show the younger generation it's okay to show affection."
Harry and Jackie look at each other. "I guess being separated from each other the way we were, we know what it's like to lose the one person that means the most to you. I want Harry with me as much as possible, I assume he feels the same." Jackie says.
"I couldn't have said it better." Harry says as he wraps his arms around Jackie.
