Yume woke up with the blankets covering her face, making the room have a darker feel. Yume grabbed her blanket, throwing it off herself. Blinking open her eyes, a bright light hit her face as a wake up call. Groaning, Yume rubbed her eyes, stretching luxuriously. Yume wobbled out of bed, looking in a nearby mirror. Her ombre hair was knotted in tangles, making Yume laugh at her appearance.

Yume sat at her desk, brushing her hair, struggling. Someone knocked on the door, giving Yume an excuse to set the comb down for awhile. Yume placed her hand on the door knob, turning, and opening the door. Her three distinctive friends stood in front of her, greeting her with friendly smiles. Something buzzed nearby, her friends darting their heads in search of the mysterious sound. Yume ran to her desk, the sound growing louder. Her Aikatsu mobile was laying on the table, waiting for her to pick up. I won't let you slip out of my grasp this time. Yume reluctantly answered before realizing who's number it was. "Yo, Boiled Octopus! You finally managed to answer my call." Subaru smirked, waving at Yume's friends. Ako made a cute face, smiling. "S-subaru-kyun!" Ako moved closer towards Yume's mobile, inspecting Subaru's every move. "Toomatooo. Where do you guys want to meet up?" Subaru leaned his head on his hand, waiting for an answer. "Ehh. I told you to stop calling me that!" Yume crossed her arms, glaring at Subaru. He laughed in satisfaction. Ako's face blazed red in jealousy, ready to take a swing at Yume. Subaru tilted his head at Ako. "S-she's.." Subaru covered his mouth, sucking in his cheeks. "Theirs two Boiled Octopuses!" Subaru couldn't help himself, bursting out laughing. He held his chest, trying to contain his laughter. Laura and Mahiru laughed along, wiping under they're eyes for any sudden tears. Yume's face was burning with embarrassment and annoyance. Yume kneeled down by her Aikatsu mobile towards Subaru. Ako cowered behind a corner, scratching Yumes bedpost. Yume touched the screen, preparing herself to end the call. Subaru saw Yume, his expression a mixture of happiness and laughter. Yume blushed at the sight, looking away.

Downtown~

Mahiru's face sparkled once they set foot in town. Memories washed over her like a fresh coat of paint. "Subaru said to meet them at a cake shop?" Yume scanned the town, looking for four similar individuals. Laura scrunched her eyebrows in confusion. "I don't see any cake symbols?" Mahiru suddenly set a pile of tiles between two small pillars, balancing them evenly. She glared at the stack, a flame ignited in her eyes. Yelling, Mahiru raised her strong arm. Mahiru brought her hand down, making contact with the tiles, splitting nicely. She panted, fresh glands of sweat dripping down her forehead. Mahiru shot her head up, glancing at the south part of town. "I know where it is." Mahiru started walking, shocked expressions from roaming passerby.

Ako opened the cake shops door, a soft ring chimed in reply. Laura sniffed, capturing the aroma of different variety's of sweets. Yume's eyes lit up, licking her lips. Yume glanced at a track full of sweets, blocked off by glass. She placed her hands on the surface, smiling at all the sugar. "This is what iv'e been craving for so long. I never knew this existed." Yume and Ako jumped up and down like kids in a candy store. Laura skimmed through the tables, looking for four supposedly disguised idols. Mahiru pointed at a table hidden further back, walking in confident strides. Laura and Ako followed, only to be dragging Yume along. Whispers and mumbling came from nearby customers, in awe of Mahiru's pacing stride. "Ahh, Mahiru! Stop dragging attention wherever you go." Asahi teased, noticing the staring crowd. Yume watched a shopper walk past, carrying a delightful looking pastry. Her own stomach growled in protest. Nozomu smiled softly, staring in Yume's direction. "Glad i picked this bakery. Yume seems to love this place." Yume looked over her shoulder, exchanging awkward smiles. Subaru gritted his teeth, trying to control his beating heart.

"There were so many options! I'm definitely coming here more often." Yume smiled at Laura, both carrying stacks of pastries. Asahi glanced up, noticing Yume and Laura with full trays. "Went all out, huh?" The back of Yume's neck burned hot in embarrassment. They set their trays down, handing out sweets and pastries. Yume took one last sniff, collecting all the sweet scents, storing them into her countless memories. Yume gave Mahiru a chocolate muffin before finding a seat. The closest one was by Subaru. She groaned, pulling the chair out to sit before she was knocked back by soft cat paws. Yume stumbled back, tripping on her own steps. She expected the worst, waiting for the cold, bare floor to hit her cheek, but it didn't. Instead, she felt warmth on her arms and back. Her mind stirred in confusion. Yume peeked behind her, making eye contact with sapphire eyes. Yume gasped, blushing uncontrollably. Subaru smiled, pulling Yume back up to her feet. Ako gritted her teeth, her claws curling into clenched fists. Yume brushed her dust off her dress in shame. Subaru bent down, looking into Yume's eyes. He brushed a piece of hair off her face. "You okay? That was some fall, huh?" Subaru closed his eyes, smiling. A tear rushed down Yume's face, until their were multiple. "Huh?" Subaru opened his eyes, blushing as Yume looked down at him. Yume bursted out in tears, running out the door. A soft chime ringed, fading as so did she.

Where could she have gone? Yume's friends searched and called out for her, but no reply came back. The sun sank deeper, the moon shining as a sign of individuality and loneliness. "It's getting late, let's split up in hopes of finding Yume sooner." Laura suggested, a hint of worry in her tone. Ako folded her arms, mumbling to herself, heading in the same direction as Kanata. Ako stared at the ground, a wave of shyness engulfing her. "D-do you mind if i walk with you, Kanata?" Ako focused her attention at the stoned pavement, her body heating up. Kanata smiled, pulling Ako into a close hug. She blushed, curling in closer.

Subaru peered into a dark alley way. "Still nothing. Where could that girl gone?" Subaru mumbled grumpily, kicking a loose pebble. He gazed up at the sky, an ombre of soft pinks and yellows. He was all the way on the other side of town because of a girl. A girl. "I don't have time for romance." Subaru muttered, a strange pull tugged his heart. Maybe if i can clear my head, i'll think straight. Subaru followed a trail leading to the coast, few strangers walking the pier. Subaru leaned on the fence, breathing in the salty, fresh air. His heart slowed, back to its regular pace. That's when he noticed her. "Yo, Boiled Octopus. What happened back there?" He smirked, standing next to her. Silence. Subaru tilted his head in confusion and worry. "Tomato? You alright?" Yume lifted her head, setting her gaze on the setting sun. Tears washed over Yume again, dripping onto her sodden hands. "I'm sorry, Subaru." Yume cried, wiping under her soaked eyes. Subaru flinched back in surprise. "Iv'e made everyone worry, and i almost hurt you because of my clumsiness." Yume sniffled, placing her hands over her face. Subaru leaned his arms on the fence, staring out into the vast, endless sea. "Why are you crying? What did i do?" Subaru closed his eyes, staring down at his hands. "N-nothing. You were just trying to help out a friend." Yume trembled over her words, sniffling. Subaru smiled softly, gazing back at Yume. "What if i told you i wanted to be more than friends?"
