*****
The episode begins with the Goblin killing the evil advisor, who, if you remember, was a powerful ghost. Then, he asks for forgiveness (to the grim reaper, who's past identity was the king). And of course, Eun Tak mourns and holds the Goblin in her arms, only to watch him die right in front of her eyes.
Eun Tak realizes that her memory is suddenly fading (because the Goblin disappeared), and hurries to write everything down as tears pour down her face.
The next scene, which is on a rainy day, shows Ji Eun Tak as a producer of a radio station, Eun Tak's dream career. I believe this is around 10 years later, as she refers to a scene of the grim reaper as something that occurred 20 years ago, or when she was turning 9. Moreover, she passes by the grim reaper in a cafe.
As the story goes on, we can see that even after 10 years, Eun Tak is still friends with Sunny and the leader of the class (when she was in high school). However, it is evident that she can only recognize the grim reaper from the 9-year old incident. Otherwise, she doesn't remember him.
It's also important to note that whenever it rains, Eun Tak feels heartache, although she doesn't know why. The first snow comes as well, and Eun Tak questions herself, "What did I forget."
Then, on the first snowfall, Eun Tak lights the candle on a cake and continue questions herself and asks for help. At the same time, a scene of the Goblin crawling painfully with tears on his eyes in a field of snow is shown. And finally, Eun Tak blows the candle of her cake. And if you have forgotten, Eun Tak blowing the candle causes her to summon the Goblin. And that is exactly what happened. The goblin appears in front of her, but with a little change of appearance (different clothes, longer hair), and rushes to hug Eun Tak and hold her tight. For a moment, it seems as if Eun Tak had remembered everything, but it is important to note that while the Goblin remembers everything, Eun Tak doesn't. Eun Tak feels emotional, but then become confused as to why she is since she does not know who the goblin is.
Who are you?
And the Goblin answers.
I am the one in the contract.
They continue with their conversation, and Goblin seems emotionally touched with Eun Tak. However, Eun Tak acts cold, for she is shocked by the Goblin's touchiness and familiarness.
The Goblin finds Deok Hwa and tells him that he is Deok Hwa's uncle. Deok Hwa questions the confrontation. And the next scene reveals that some information of the Goblin still remains, and not all is forgotten; The Goblin's name, Kim Shin, as well as the fact that Deok Hwa has an uncle, still remains.
The Goblin continues to visit those he knew; however, one after one, they all fail to remember him, that is, except for the grim reaper. And that is the result of the leniency of the deity and the 'God'. The grim reaper is glad for the return of the goblin. And at that time, the grim reaper apologizes for everything he did in his past life as the king.
Killing of his own lover...
Killing of the Goblin...
Etc.
The Goblin and the grim reaper reunites, and they talk about Eun Tak and Deok Hwa. In this scene, they are at their old house. Suddenly, Deok Hwa suddenly comes in, and the Goblin hides. However, Deok Hwa quickly realizes there is someone else, and the Goblin reveals himself. Something interesting here is that this scene is a remake from the beginning scenes, except that the Goblin and the Grim Reaper changed roles.
During Eun Tak's job hours, she makes a mistake and is scolded by someone in a higher position. However, the mistake turns into a reality, and flowers have bloomed. For the second time, Eun Tak gets a glimpse of the Goblin.
At a restaurant, Eun Tak is working on her job. She blows out her candle, and the Goblin suddenly shows up. Eun Tak becomes cold and distant, but she questions the Goblin's identity and exactly who he is. But in the end, Eun Tak, excuse my language, simply does not give a crap, and storms off.
A while after, the Goblin who continues to ask the grim reaper for money shows that he is no longer rich. Thus, he visits Deok Hwa and reveals that he is, indeed, his uncle. And as Deok Hwa's late ancestors and grandfather wrote on their death note, the Goblin is there to retrieve his belongings. Also, it seems as if his power remains.
Eun Tak finds trouble at her workplace, as not enough advertisement is put on the radio station. Soon after, Eun Tak meets the Goblin once again at a bookstore. Eun Tak, again, questions the Goblin's identity. And the Goblin, who seems to be a nervous wreck (because he doesn't know the answer), claims he is the company's CEO (Deok Hwa's company). He also helps Eun Tak with the sponsorship for the Radio station advertisement, saving Eun Tak's job.
The next scenes focus on the grim reaper's and sunny's relationship. Also, remember that they do not remember each other. However, nothing major occurred; they simply pass each other.
Eun Tak suddenly receives a mail from her past Eun Tak, which is mailed from Canada. From this, she gets more and more confused, and is curious about what exactly happened 9 years ago and why is she forgetting everything. She also questions the mysterious man named Kim Shin, or the Goblin, who is written in Eun Tak's notebook (written right after Goblin's 'death' to attempt to remember for the future). Suddenly, the Goblin, who changed his name (no longer Kim Shin) calls Eun Tak(He got her number because he helped her get the advertisement/sponsorship for the radio station). Coincidentally, Eun Tak blows out a candle (it seems that she often has candles near her), and the Goblin shows up. They have a comfortable conversation over the phone and sets up a date.
Eun Tak is getting ready to go abroad to Canada. This seems to be the result of the mail that she got from her past self, which was mailed from Canada. She was curious as to what she forgot. Hence, she went to Canada in order to investigate. She goes to the hotel in which she sent that letter. However, she was unable to find much information.
When Eun Tak was looking around, she suddenly comes upon the Goblin, which is strange because it is so coincidental that they would both go to the same country at the same place and at the same time.
And this is where this episode ended.
Preview:
The first part of the preview was mainly about Sunny and the Grim Reaper's relationship. Sunny said that she wanted a short wait, but a long meeting [referring to love]. Going into further detail, Sunny is referring to the next life, and says, "Goodbye." I believe this is said towards the grim reaper. But does that mean Sunny retains her memory?
Next, the focus transfers to Eun Tak and the Goblin. Eun Tak asks the Goblin, "Have we met before? About 10 years ago?". Then, a scene with Eun Tak in a restaurant, which is the exact same scene from the Goblin's foreshadowing before he 'died', is shown. Eun Tak asks further, "Are you a ghost?" Then, with a jump of a scene, a man's voice says, " No sadness lasts forever," which I believe is to be the voice of the 'God'. The preview continues further with a question of 'would you rather, sadness or love,' in which Eun Tak answers, 'Sad Love." The final scenes show Eun Tak's and the Goblin's kissing scenes. OOH, things are getting a lil' spicy up here! Can't wait!!
