"He go in a car accident" my mom croaked.
I sighed in disbelief. How could this happen?

Two weeks later
I entered he classroom in a wheelchair. I didn't understand why I couldn't just have dumb crutches. Amanda was staring at me along w to the rest of the class. But the class was staring at me in pity but Amanda was emotionless. I wheeled in next to her at my assigned spot. I picked up my book and started reading.
"Pssst" Collin said trying to get my attention from the other side of the table. "What happened this time?" He asked
I leaned in and said "I got attacked by some phyco guy or whatever."
"Sorry I asked geez I mean wow you just have an awesome life don't you?"
"Is that supposed to be supportive?" I snapped
"oh sorry" he replied

Amanda looked over at me. "So little brat? You finish your homework?"
"Yeah" i replied to Amanda
"Good cause I need it!"
"Well your not getting it you have to do it on your own!" I said.
She made a weird face like she was retrying to scare me.

"You don't scare me Amanda." I giggled. I'm sorry she just looked constipated
"Uhg" she said in annoyance.
"I will be collecting homework now" the teacher said quieting all the chatter
"This is your last chance."Amanda whisper yelled. I just shook my head. "Don't you remember what I did to you Melissa?!?"
"Yeah and you better be glad I didn't tell anyone." I snapped back.
I could tell she was thinking. She paused then sighed.

Class was over soon. I wheeled out over to my locker. Collin had been following me. "Hey" he said I could tell he was shy."oh hey" I replied pretending like I was surprised."so i just wanted to say hi and I hope you feel better." He said shyly
"Thanks"
"Well I guess I will see you around...." he said
"Yeah cya" I said nervously. I had never felt like this before. Wait did I like him? No there's no way and even if I did he probably didn't like me back
"So I just wanted to say something" he said taking me away from my thoughts. "Yeah?" I pushed. "Well I just ..... idk-"
"You like me?" I finished. Hoping that was the right answer.
"Yeah" he muttered. My eyes went wide. Really?????
"Cool....."
"Do you like me back?" He questioned.
Just then Amanda came up behind us.
"Hey Collin can I speak to Melissa alone?" Amanda glared. "Uhm I don't-" she cut him off
"Shoe you little pest!" She snapped. He lowered his eyes and walked away.
"Isn't he amazing?" Amanda said "oh and btw he's mine. Or at least will be. And if you even talk to him again, no look at him, Goodness even think about him your dead!"
"Uh uh ok...." I stuttered. Amanda started to leave but then turned around and said "if you talk,look or think about him both you and collin are dead!" She threatened then walked away.

I could feel my eyes water up as she left. Collin soon returned. "Hey what's-" I didn't know what to say but I didn't want Amanda to hurt him so I had to think fast. I would rather him hate me then get hurt like I am. I car to much "look Collin I don't like you. I find it kinda weird you like me so please never talk to me again.." he gasped then looked at me in disbelief. He looked hurt. I knew I was but I made myself look emotionless. He looked at me one last time before turning away and walking out the doors. I started crying.
