#CHAPTER 1#

*Jessie’s POV*

“Jessie you’ve got post!” my mum yelled up the stairs, startling me and Sam, my younger brother. If I’m honest I was pretty shocked, I never get post, and when I do it’s usually something boring such as the library informing me my book is overdue. Expecting it to be yet another dull letter I slowly dragged myself out of my bedroom and down the stairs to my mum.

“There was no need to shout” I said, annoyed.

“I did call you about 4 times, but you never replied.” She replied.

“Oh, I had my headphones in”

“Listening to one direction, yet again?” she questioned. She knows me too well.

“Obviously” I smiled at her. I’m always listening to them. They cheer me up when I’m down, the slow songs relax me when I need relaxing and the fast songs pick up my energy when I need them to. Me and my best friends think they’re amazing.

I opened the envelope that she had passed to me.

“OH. MY. GOD!!!” I screamed, startling my mum and Sam and probably the whole of my road.

“What is it!?” my mum asked looking worried. A huge grin spread across my face, I was ecstatic. But, I didn’t know what to say. I just shoved the letter towards her, letting out a few more excited squeals. She tried to read the letter.

“Jessie, I can’t read it. I haven’t got my glasses on. I’ll just go and get them.”

The excitement was overwhelming, I couldn’t hold it in any longer.

“I’ve won mum! I’ve won!!!” I screamed, not caring who I scared, I HAD WON!

“Won what?!” she said, searching through her handbag for her reading glasses. “Found them!” she said, pulling them out of their case.

“Just read!” I said excitedly shoving the paper into her hands. I watched her eyes slowly move over the paper. She seemed to take forever to read it. Then, she looked up at me, smiling.

“You’re going to meet one direction!” she cheered. I could tell she was pleased for me.

“Me, and 4 of my friends to be exact” I corrected her. She rolled her eyes at me. I had forgotten about the competition, it felt ages since I had entered it. Although I think it had only been about 2 months. I didn’t hear anything from the people holding the competition so I just guessed that meant I hadn’t won. But, I was wrong, I had won! And now me and 4 of my best friends were going to meet one direction and spend a whole day with them in about 2 weeks time. And it’s all because I entered that competition, my friends are going to love me!

“Mum, if you need me, I’ll be in my room, on skype, inviting my friends to meet one direction” I said jumping out of the kitchen and into the hall. “and if you hear me screaming, don’t worry, it’s just me having a normal conversation with my bestfriends about meeting our future husbands in a fortnight.” I said excitedly. She rolled her eyes.
