Chapter 4:
New Friends

I wake suddenly. I am sitting on the ground propped up against the wall. All the walls are smooth stone, like those underground, so I suppose we are in an underground house. My skin glistens with sweat. I must've had a bad dream...yet I don't remember having one. I realize my hands are bound behind my back. Looking to my left, I see Beast in the same condition as I am, but he is still asleep. He squirms and mutters but I can't make out any real words. The arrow has been removed from his shoulder and there is now a bandage there. Mustering up some strength I stand up.
"Hello? Is there anyone here?" I loudly inquire. I am answered with a punch to the back of the head. I fall forward, and with my hands bound I can't stop myself. My face scrapes the wall and my nose starts to bleed. I prop myself up on the wall again, and as I turn I see two other players. They're both girls.
One is taller than the other. The taller wears a bandana and she has a bow slung over her shoulder and a quiver of arrows on her back. She must be the one who shot BeastKiller. The other girl to her right is much shorter than she. This girl wears a purple striped shirt and holds an iron sword. She has a bandolier strap of potions around her waist, worn like a belt.
"My name is ArianaHerondale12602, and you will call me Ariana. If you make one move to attack us or escape, I will put an arrow in your face," the tall one says.
"Okay," I reply meekly. The shorter one speaks now.
"My name is AriaJackson19, call me Aria," she says. "We are cousins. We are descendants of the legendary Jackson and Herondale families."
"The WHO?" I reply, confused. I hear Ariana muttering things like "muggle", "mundane", and "mortal".
"Ugh! Nevermind! Anyway, we have a few questions to ask you," says Aria.
"Why were you trespassing on our land?" Asks Ariana.
"We didn't know it was your land," I say.
"You mean to say you didn't see ANY of the signs? They're all over the place."
"Nope." I reply.
"Wow. Next question. Who ARE you?"
"Oh. I'm JackAttack723, call me Jack. Over there sleeping is Beas-"
"I'm awake now," intervenes Beast. "Yeah. I'm BeastKiller2002. Call me Beast."
"This is Aria and Ariana," I tell Beast.
"Alright, hello, Beast," says Ariana. Turning to me, she says, "I assume you are far from home. What are you doing out here?"
"Well, we were just out mining and we decided to expand a bit," I say.
"Oh, okay," says Aria. "You're probably hungry. Let's go get some food."

Beast and I follow Aria and Ariana to what must be their kitchen. They give us both a steak and put some cake on the table. Aria brings out a pitcher of milk.
"Oh, no thank you," Beast says. "I'm allergic to milk."
"Oh, sorry," says Aria.
"It's fine," says Beast. We eat all of our food. Beast asks where he can smelt his iron ore, and he and Ariana disappear behind a door.
"Hey, um, I've been meaning to ask you," I say. "Do you just shoot everyone who steps foot here?"
"Well, usually. We've become really insecure since...HE came." Aria replies, taking a seat.
"Herobrine?" I ask.
"No, not him, we've killed him before. The guy I'm talking about came a really long time ago. It was a dark and stormy night and he was being chased by mobs. He yelled desperately for help. We let him in and killed the mobs behind him. He said he didn't have a home, so we let him live here. While he was here, we decided to build a mob arena. We just made a huge cobblestone arena and didn't place any light source and it seemed to work. We had all gone in there lots of times, but one time he stayed behind. Ariana and I were sticking very close to the wall, and there were very few mobs spawned at this time. I turned around to eat some food, and when I turned back around, there were...HUNDREDS. And the worse part was, they all snapped their heads around and looked at us at the exact same time. As we frantically fought for our lives, I looked up. All I saw was that guy, floating above the arena with his eyes closed and his hand out, as if controlling the mobs. When we got out of the arena, we went to find and kill him, but he was nowhere to be found," says Aria
"That story sounds just like what happened to me and my friend Thepro. He died in the Nether. Beast told me the same thing happened to him, too," I say.
"Wow, that's weird," says Aria.
"Hey, do you remember this guy's name by any chance?" I ask her.
"Yeah...his name was...
Nick_Keller02."
