Chapter 7:

Things We Didn't Know

I snap awake, and realize I'm lying on the floor and my head is wet. I'm sweating and I have the chills. A lamp shines on the bedstand.

"Oh my gosh, dude, are you okay? You were thrashing around and then you got up...you grabbed your sword.

I couldn't wake you. I splashed you with water. You wouldn't wake up. But then you screamed as if you were falling, and you just crumpled to the ground," Beast explains, and he seems worried.

"I had the craziest dream," I say. I explain the whole dream to Beast. We go over to Aria and Ariana and we explain to them, too.

"Isn't Thepro716 the old owner of this mansion?" Aria asks.

"Yeah...yeah, he is," I respond. Before I forget, I grab a book and quill and write down the riddle that Herobrine told me. I go to a closet and get everyone a backpack.

"What are these for?" Asks Beast.

"Well, we need them to carry extra food and supplies," I tell him.

"Ah," he says. We all go downstairs for some breakfast. Beast and Ariana make pancakes. We find ourselves talking about our parents.

"My parents, who are also Ariana's aunt and uncle, were killed in a Survival Games arena. They were kidnapped when I was 4, and forced into the games," Aria explains sadly.

"People broke into my house. They...they made me watch Mom and Dad die..." She adds. She breaks into tears and Ariana hugs and comforts her.

"My parents were taken from me, too," Beast says. "I really miss them. I haven't seen them since they were taken. But I have a picture of them here, somehow." Beast reaches into his back pocket and pulls out a picture of a man and a woman--his parents. Aria's eyes widen as she looks at the picture. She furrows her brow and her face goes red in anger.

"I know your parents, Beast," she says, her voice shaking. "YOUR PARENTS WERE THE HEAD GAMEMAKERS IN MY PARENTS' GAMES!! THEY KILLED THEM!! THEY KILLED THEM WITH A FLOOD!! YOU SON OF A--"

Aria is cut off by Ariana covering her mouth. She drags Aria back towards the wall and sits her down. Aria breaks into tears again and cries softly. Ariana again comforts her. Beast just sat there. His face was ghostly pale and his mouth hung open. He quickly gets up from the table, runs upstairs, and slams the door to our room.

"Holy crap," I say quietly.

"Huh. What a coincidence that Beast and Aria met," Ariana says.

"No kidding." Ariana looks up at me from her seat next to Aria on the floor.

She points to my untouched pancakes.

"You gonna eat those?" She asks. We all laugh, even Aria, and I push the plate towards the opposite side of the table.

As Ariana starts to eat my pancakes, I walk upstairs to my room to try to find Beast. I open the door to my room and he's there.

"Hey, Jack. If it's okay I just wanna be alone for a while."

"Of course, dude." I reply. I leave the room and close the door behind me. I start to think, and I realize that I have never once gone into ThePro's room. Curious, I walk over to his room which is across the hallway from mine, and open the door. It looks pretty much normal...except for some things on his desk. I pick up some papers and start to read:

"Meeting with Herobrine and Nick at 2:38 AM. Date: 11/6/13"

Wow! I can't BELIEVE this! Thepro had been working with Herobrine and Nick the entire time! I pick up another paper.

Date: 12/16/12

"From: Nick

Hey Pro. It's Nick obviously. How's the potion production coming? We need it soon. The attack on these two girls here won't be possible without it.

Hurry up. Meet at the chasm when it's ready."

Potion? What potion? I sit on ThePro's bed and think deeply. I realize that Thepro was probably working in secret on a potion. I run downstairs to our Brewery in the basement. I look in every chest, on every brewing stand, and nothing. Huh. I walk back up to Pro's room and walk in circles. Suddenly, I trip over some clothes in the middle of the floor. I fall and my fist goes through the wall. Oh, crap! But with my hand in the wall, I feel something. It's a bottle! I yank it out. In the bottle is a rainbow liquid. On a label on the front is written "Mix 7". This must be the potion Nick was writing to Thepro about! I can't believe I found it in the wall like that. And how did Pro possibly get it into the wall? Hmm. Well, who cares?

"BEAST! ARIA! ARIANA! C'MERE!"

My friends come running into the room I'm in.

"What's wrong?!" Ariana asks.

"Nothing, but look at these!" I hand Ariana and the others some of the papers from Pro's desk. Their mouths drop open.

"What does Nick mean by the potion?" Beast asks. I smile and show them the Mix 7 bottle.

"What does the potion do?" Aria asks.

"I don't know. We'll have to test it on an ocelot or wolf or something," I reply.

We all run downstairs and out the front door. We easily find an ocelot and a wolf. We take them both in to the house on leashes. I lead my friends and the animals down to the brewery, where I use Nether wart and mundane potions to duplicate Mix 7.

"Here we go," I say, nervous. I pour two potions in two different bowls, and put them in front of the animals. Both bow their heads to drink. Mix 7 kicks in very quickly on the ocelot. It starts to shine rainbow. Aria laughs at the rainbow cat. But now...it's not funny anymore.

Hahahaha cliffhanger. So! You are all probably looking for a new update but you haven't read THIS entire chapter yet.
