Chapter 2: Amelia Awakens

      As Angelique had said, Amelia will wake up in a month.
      Julia and Harold waited for a month. After a month, just like Angelique said, Amelia woke up after a month.
      "Harold, she is waking up!"
      "Really?"
      "Come here quickly!"
      Amelia is finally awake. Julia and Harold looked into her beautiful brown eyes.
      "She is very beautiful Julia, just like you."
      "You flatter me to much. Can you get the necklace now?"
      "Okay."
      Harold gave Julia the silver necklace that Angelique had given them.
      "Julia, can I put the necklace on Amelia?
      "Yes, of course Harold."
      Harold put the necklace on Amelia. The necklace was glowing when Harold put the necklace on Amelia.
      The next day, Amelia's cries woke up Julia and Harold.
      "Amelia, what's wrong? Are you hungry?"
      Julia carried Amelia and swayed slowly so she would stop crying.
      "You only wanted some love from your mother."
      "Did she stop crying?"
      "Yes."
      They feeded Amelia after they ate breakfast.
      After 17 years...
    
      "Amelia, do get ready now, we will be going to Angelique a little later."
      "Yes mother."
      I got ready to go to Angelique. Up until now, I still don't understand why I we had to go to her every year. I keep telling mother that I'm fine, but she insisted on going to her every year.
      "Are you ready Amelia?"
      "Yes mother."
      "Okay, let's go now."
      As always, we went to her home.
      "Do come in.", said Angelique.
      "I see you have redecorated."
      "Well, we wouldn't want you insulting my home every time you visit, right Harold?"
      "Haha, right."
      "Now, Rose come here."
      "Why do you keep calling me Rose?", I said, "Why not Amelia?"
      "I just want to call you Rose. Do you feel anything new Rose?"
      "No, like I told you every time we visit here."
      "Alright then, Julia and Harold, I would like to talk to both if you for a second. Rose, can you please wait outside?"
      "Sure thing."
      I waited outside of Angelique's home, I tried listened into their conversation but they kept it very quiet.
      Father called out for me and said"Come on Amelia, let's go home."
      We went home after the visit.
      When we got home...
      "What did Angelique tell you?", I asked.
      Mother replied, "She was just making sure that you were okay."
      "Okay then, I will be going to my room now."
      "Do get some rest Amelia."
      "I will mother."
      I couldn't get some rest because I knew that mother and father were hiding something.
      The next day...
      "Amelia, please get up now, we will be going to town."
      "Mother, what did Angelique tell you?"
      "What?N-nothing dear."
      "It didn't seem like nothing."
      "Can we please stop talking about this, we will tell you when the time is right."
      "Alright then, I will get ready now."
      "You do that dear, I will just wake up your father."
      "Alright then."
      I need to know what is going on. Mother was not telling me anything, but maybe father will, when we are in town.
      "Amelia dear, it is time to go."
      "I will be right down mother."
      This is my second chance. I must not fail.
