Percy POV/

I leaned up against the corner, trying not to scream out in terror. The girl that I had done so much bad to was standing right there.

I drowned her.

I beat her.

I killed her.

She looked desperate for me, but she couldn't have me. I would have hurt her.

Because I'm a monster.

Annabeth tried to advance on my but I just had to hide.

She stopped, and held Piper's hand tightly. "Percy... what did they show you?"

My fingers trembled. "I drowned you. I hurt you. I even killed you, Annabeth! Look at your eyes! You wouldn't have fell into Tartarus if I had the effort to pull you up. But I let you fall. I killed you, Annabeth."

She broke down into tears. I couldn't stand it anymore. I leaped out of my bed onto the deck of the Argo II. Water.

That's all I could think of to get away.

I dived into the ocean, oblivious of the deadly creatures lurking there.
