Hazel POV/

The deafening scream raced through the hallways, startling me as I read my book. Instantly, I sprinted to the noise, to find a panting Percy and wide-eyed Jason. Jason was carrying a slightly blood soaked dagger, hand gripped Percy's wrist. Percy was wearing a maniacal smile, gazing into the moon with a blood soaked scar running down his shoulder. Jason's lips seemed to move, but no sound came out. I came out from the corner and grabbed Percy wrist. "Jason, what just happened?"

Jason normally electric blue eyes were cloudy. "I-he...h-he stabbed himself."

My mind turned blank as Percy's head turned up to meet mine.

Jason POV/

His green eye seemed to lighten up and flecks of green were seen throughout his red eye. "Hi Hazel," he smiled calmly. "I want to die."

Hazel froze. "What..what did you j-just say, Percy?" she stammered.

He ran his hand through his midnight black hair, pausing for a moment. "You know, this is like the third time I've said it. It's too much for me to handle, all this pain and torture," he said, while Hazel looked ready to burst into tears. "I kind of wish it was all gone. I can let the fear take over. I can finally be happy, Hazel."

She shook her head furiously. "N-no.... NO!"

Percy's head jerked up, surprised at her outburst. "Percy, N-no. You can't! You j-just can't!" she screamed.

Percy just laughed lightly. "But I can. And you can't stop me."

Hazel seemed to gather herself before stating her next comeback.

"Perseus Achilles Jackson, you are a coward."

His neck muscles tightened as Hazel criticized him. "What did you say?" he snarled.

Hazel folded her arms across her chest and remained defiant. "I said that you are a coward."

Percy's red eye pulsated in fury, all sort of kindness and calmness instantly dissapparating. "No. You are the coward, Hazel Levesque. You are the coward. Not me," he growled, wrist still dripping with crimson liquid.

Hazel giggled girlishly. "Oh, you're funny, Percy. Everyone knows that it's the cowards way out to kill yourself."

I could tell that she was trying not to hyperventilate, keeping her breathing steady. Percy madly got up to her and thrust his hand against her neck. "No one... calls me....a coward."

Hazel tried not to burst as his hand loosened. Suddenly, Percy began to fumble. He staggered backwards toward the metal bench, one hand propped on it for support, the other clutched to his head in agony. "G-guys? J-Jason? What's going on..."

He fell right into my arms as his eyes rolled back into his head. I immediately looked at Hazel. She was already in the hallway of the Argo two, nodding her head towards the infirmary.
