Jedi's POV

I woke up this morning and I still had a smile on my face. Yesterday was so fun. I got out of bed and went downstairs for breakfast. "Hey momma." I said walking into the kitchen. "Hey Jedi, how was your trip to the mall yesterday?" I smiled at the memories. "It was great!" My mom liked at me confused. "Was there a really good sale on jeans or something?" "No, actually I met a girl." I laughed. "Really? What's her name? What's she like?" She smiled. "Aw, she's perfect momma, her name is Harper O'Brien, she's my age, she is so beautiful, kind, and she has a sense of humor." "Well somebody has to have a sense of humor if they are going to date you!" Jack said walking in. "Hey! What about you and Sophia, huh?" My mom looked at jack surprised. "You both met girls yesterday?" "Yeah, it's a miracle." Jenny said walking in the kitchen. "Alright, can you two leave so I can talk to momma for a few minutes?" I said pointing at Jack and Jenny. They put their hands up and walked out. Momma turned to me, "Alright, what is it you want to talk about?" "Do you think I could have Harper over today? I really want to get to know her better." I said nervously. She smiled, "Of course Jedi, just make sure everyone does there chores before." I hugged her and thanked her while running to round up the troops. "Everyone! Come here!" All the siblings finally made their way to the living room. "What's this all about?" Jair said looking like he just got out of bed. "I need you all to do your chores right now." "But why?" Jamie said looking like she just got out of bed too. "I'm having this girl over and-" before I could say anything they all started freaking out. Typical Willis clan. My mom shushed them all. "Guys and girls, listen up! This girl is important to Jedi so let's just all get this house cleaned up." They all stood up and split off to do their chores.

I finished up cleaning and went to text Harper.

J- Hey Harper, wanna come over?

H- Sure! What's your address?

Ah! She said yes! I gave her our address then went to get ready.

It's been half an hour, she'll be here any minute! I heard the doorbell ring and I ran down the stairs and to the door. I fixed my hair and smoothed out my shirt. I opened the door and we both smiled. "H-hey Harper! Come in!" She walked in and immediately my mom walked over and gave her a hug. "Hello Harper! Please make yourself at home!" "Thank you Mrs. Willis!" "Oh please call me Brenda." "Alright!" She laughed. Gosh she's got the best laugh. My mom left and we went to the living room. "Wanna see the music room?" I asked. "Sure!!" She said as I guided her upstairs. We got up there and Jair was up there messing around on the guitar. He looked up and smiled. "Hello, I'm Jair, and you must be Harper. So Jedi, this is the girl you were going crazy for?" Oh my gosh I'm going to kill him. "Jair! Do you think you could leave?" I said giving him the evil eye. He laughed. "Sure, see you later." He said as he left. "So, do you sing or play any instruments?" She smiled, "Yeah, I play piano and I can sing but I have terrible stage fright." "Oh I won't make you sing then, I'll just be terribly sad forever." I said fake crying. "Alright, alright, I'll sing for you." She said laughing. She started to sing So Close and she sounded amazing! Every note was perfect. Once she finished I was about to compliment her on her singing but the door opened and I heard a crash. Right in front of me was Joy Anna, Jet, and Jamie in a pile on the floor. "You sounded great!" Said Jamie as they stood up. "Yeah! You were perfect said Jet as they started bombarding her with questions. "Alright! Alright! Jet, Jamie, Joy, you can talk to her later at dinner but right now we want to be alone." Jamie and Joy looked at each other, "Ooooo okay Jedi!" They said laughing. Jet looked at us before she left. "I wasn't eavesdropping, I was a-a stopping them from eavesdropping!" "Oh okay Jet!" I laughed. She left and closed the door. "I'm sorry Harper, it's kinda hard to get privacy around here." "It's fine, I'm an only child and my dad isn't around anymore so I don't have many people to hang out with besides Sophia." "Oh, what happened to your dad?" Her face turned sad. "He was abusive to my mother and one day got her pregnant on accident and my mom was scared because she thought he would hurt me too so she took all her money and fled to Tennessee."I felt so bad. "I'm so sorry." I said pulling her into a hug. "So, do you know how to dance?" I said trying to change the subject. "Um not really, my mom is super protective and thought I would get hurt." "Oh I can teach you! It's easy and you won't get hurt I promise!" "Alright, it's worth a try!" She said smiling. So far this has been the best day of my life.
