Illegal Love

Chapter 5

Zach is still in the hospital. Mom tries to talk to me but I don't know if I should believe she won't do it again. I wanted to know when Zach will be getting out since Mom is at work.

"Excuse me? Do you know when Zach Underwood is getting out?" I asked the lady behind the counter.

"Ummhmm Can I talk to you in private?" she said 

"Yeah, sure." I said with one eyebrow up as I followed her to a waiting room.

"So, we were doing scans on Zach and we found something on his brain." she said 

"What was it?" I asked 

"It is cancer. I am sorry." she said 

"Wait, your saying my little brother has cancer? Do you know how long since it has started?" I asked 

"Yes, Zach has cancer. No, we don't know how long ago." she said 

"Can we do any operation on him to get the cancer out?" I asked

"Unfortunately the cancer is big as a golf ball. We can't do any operation or he might die because the cancer is close to his brain." she said 

"Oh, umm have you told my mother yet?" I asked 

"No, I was thinking since your close to your mom. You can tell her." she said 

"Yeah, I will tell her." I said 

"Aren't you supposed to be in school?" she asked while we walked out of the waiting room

"Yeah, but my brother does need someone." I said 

"Well, I am glad you are here with your brother." she said 

"Thanks. I will tell my mom but right now I am going to the cafeteria to get something to eat." I said as I walk away. 

I can't believe my little brother has cancer and has no chance but die. I hate seeing him in a hospital bed bored out of his mind but he as no choice. He won't have a girlfriend or wife. He won't have a kids. He won't see his friends grow up with him. He won't be able to graduate high school and go to college or get a career. As I was walking I bumped into someone. 

"Hey, watch it!" I said 

"I am sorry." Aaron said 

"Oh, I am sorry I was zoning out." I said looking down sad

"Hey, whats wrong?" Aaron said lifting my chin so I could look at him

"My brother had a heart attack and now he has cancer and has no chance to live." I said crying

"It's going to be alright." Aaron said hugging me and doing exactly what I did to him yesterday.

"Do you want to go outside for fresh air?" Aaron said I just nodded 

We started to walk outside. I loved how the cold air had hit me face.

"So, what happened to your stepdad?" I said 

"He had a heart attack as well." Aaron said while looking down 

"Oh, well I will pray for you." I said 

"Thank you, that is what everyone needs to do at this point." Aaron said 

"Okay, that's get our mind off that stuff? 21 Questions?" I asked

"Sure, How old are you?" He asked 

"I am 15. You?" I said 

"I am 13. What do you like in a guy?" Aaron asked 

"Umm, he as to have sense of humour, smart, and fun to hang out with." I said "What do you like in girls?" I asked him

"I like intelligence and sense of humour. What candy do you like?" Aaron asked 

"Skittles and anthing chocolate." I said 

"Huh." Aaron said

"What?" I said 

"You have the same taste as my best friend does." Aaron said 

"Who is your friend?" I asked 

"His name is Cameron Dallas, and he is 18." Aaron said 

"Oh well he sounds nice." I said

"We should go in." Aaron said 

"Yeah, okay" I said as we walk into the hospital.

"Alright I am going to go see my brother. Okay?" I asked

"Yeah, I will text you." Aaron said 

"K, see ya." I said waving 

I wonder what Cameron looks like??
