Lost

Can you tell me who I am? Can you tell me who you are?

I've forgotten how to see. I've forgotten if I can.

I'm slowly fading away, and life is so very far.

I dispair, there's no escape. Caught when I ran.

So I float between worlds, wondering where I will surface.

Amid the dark and the clear, or the twisted lights?

Neither is appealing, nor leaving with no trace.

So my soul becomes the arena, where I lose all fights.

But can you really lose to yourself, or are you winning?

The difference becomes hard to see in either reality.

I'm tired of hurting, myself and others. I'm tired of running.

But life is complicated, and rarely is what you wish it to be.
