Emotion takes over thought and I can't understand,
This rush of feelings as I look for land,
In an ocean of fear and thoughts of escape,
It closes in, wrapping around like tape.
Drowning and smothering my screams,
In a silence so pervading there are no seams,
And the world keeps spinning outside,
But it's like my mind says the world lied.
