Dear white people,

white feminism has become so apparent and visible that woman who are not white can simply not relate to your issues anymore. White feminism is deemed as a middle-class, cis-gendered, straight, and able-bodied movement. The problems white feminist hold are just entirely differently from a Mexican-American's. (A.K.A white woman still aren't oppressed.)

Of course back when fighting for woman's rights was a huge thing, woman's of all races and ethnicity's stood with white woman. As time goes by, non-white woman realize that the white feminist movement refuses to voice out Mexican-American problems. It's the same old thing in white feminism, and these woman just don't relate.

Meixcan-American woman broke off, and they created the Chicana movement, which was empowering Mexican-American woman whose lives are characterized by the regular Mexican woman stereotypes. Poverty racism and sexism is what they were distinguished as, and obviously white feminists let it happen because they refused to speak about Mexicans and their problems too. Of course, the Chicana movement was inspired by feminism, and they too wanted to fight against gender inequalities. But, looking past just inequalities, not every race of woman relates to the whire woman.

"Chicana refers to a woman who embraces her Mexican culture and heritage, while simultaneously recognizes the fact that she is an American." They recognize the inequality amongst woman and men, but they're also fighting for past discrimination, reviles, and neglect socially but also in their home. White people do not need to fight for these things, which led the Chicanas to feel uncomfortable.

Even today white feminists refuse to address racial concerns as well. So when intersectional feminism comes along, white woman wanna say "why should we segregate ourselves" when they've been doing it all along. There's no harm in woman of specific races fighting for their own issues and injustices, and also fighting for gender equality.

I personally think the movement is a beautiful thing. There's no segregation there, they're simply just fighting for their voices to be heard. It's a little hard when you have white feminists that have had their voices heard since the beginning, of course.

Mexican woman face so much poverty racism and discrimination. They make the least money to the white mans dollar out of every single race, they're automatically deemed as poor and uneducated by a white man, and inexplicable discrimination that's lasted for too long. I've never seen the white feminist movement ever address these issues, and I'm on top of that stuff.

These woman deserve justice and to live normal lives without being labeled as something their race has been deemed. They don't just face everything socially, they do experience these things in their household. It's happened, but now, it's gotta stop.

I'm all for it.
