Grind and Pray

XXXVI

            Atlanta (Tuesday)
"Hope P.O.V": It's six in the morning and everyone still sleep. After i brushed my teeth and used the bathroom, I headed to the girls room to wake up Alycia.

Hope: Alycia wake up.
Alycia: Shhhhh. I trying to sleep.
Hope: Get up *pulls cover off of Alycia* Go shower and get ready.

     She got out of bed and I went across the hall to Snoops room. He was already up but he wasn't getting ready.

Hope: Whats wrong?
Snoop: None. I'm just waking up completely before i have to stand.
Hope: Alright. I'm gonna wake up Pablo then i'm going to start breakfast. Any request?
Snoop: Bacon.
Hope: I got you now wake up and get ready.

    I closed the door and headed to Pablo room.

Hope: Pablo.
Pablo: *pillow over head* Hhm?
Hope: School come on.

    Pablo rolled over and sat up. I then headed downstairs. A few moments later, food was done and everyone was walking down the stairs except for Tiff. Chuckii kissed my forehead and i gave him his glass of OJ. Just then Becca and Ty walked in.

Hope: Good morning.
Ty/Becca: Good morning.
Chuckii: Where's...
Becca: Home. She not going to school today.
Chuckii: Aight.
Hope: Ya'll grab a plate and eat.

     They grabbed a plate and began eating breakfast. I made Tiff a plate and sat it in the microwave. I  then sent a text to her phone.

Me: Me and Chuckii are leaving to take everyone to school but you have a plate of food in the microwave.❤ and we're going to talk when i get back.

     After we all finished eating, everyone washed their dish. Which left me with washing the pans when i get back. We all left out the house. Becca got in the car with Ty and they headed towards the school. Once we all got to the school, i looked at the sign and had a little happiness across my face. There's something about this school that has me off though. As we all got out the car, we began making our way towards the school.

Chuckii: Ty and Becca go before that bell ring.

     They took off running up the school steps.

Chuckii: You three stay close and i hope yall aint got none on you that you not suppose to have.

      Chuckii held my hand helping me up the steps. Soon as we walked through the double doors, we had to walk through metal detectors. We then made our way towards the office. So far there's nothing wrong with the school other than these damn metal detectors. The principal welcomed us into her office. The kids remained outside her office though. Me and Chuckii sat down.

Ms. Aiko: Hello, Angel.
Chuckii: Hey, Ms.Aiko. This is my fiancé Hope and we're here to register her brothers and my sister.
Ms. Aiko: Right. I think i remember there names: Alycia, Pablo, and...
Hope: Snoop.
Ms. Aiko: Righhttttt. Well, May i meet them?

     Chuckii opened the door and told everyone to come in.

Ms. Aiko: Alycia, hello.
Alycia: Hello.
Ms. Aiko: *looks at file* 3.6 average student, Honors and AP classes, community service hours incomplete for graduation, and anger management. Do you want to add on to anything else I should known about you?
Alycia: I'm not friendly, so can I get my schedule.
Ms. Aiko: That'll do. Go out there and ask for Mr.Cunningham. He's on charge of schedules.

     Alycia left out, leaving Snoop and Pablo in the office with us.

Ms. Aiko: Mr. Snoop, would you like to tell me your name?
Snoop: Nah.
Ms. Aiko: *looks at file* 2.6 below average student, records of level three's, and incomplete community service hours for graduation. Any reason, why I should let you attend school here?
Snoop: Nah.
Ms. Aiko: Go to Mr.Cunningham to get your schedule.

    Snoop left out, two kids down one to go.

Ms. Aiko: Goodmorning Mr. Pablo.
Pablo: Goodmorning ma'am. My gpa is 3.2, I have zero community service hours, and i have a handful of level three's on my record.
Ms. Aiko: I'll see you around campus. Go get your schedule.

    Pablo left out and Ms. Aiko laughed.

Hope: Why are you laughing?
Ms. Aiko: Interesting group of kids is all i'm allowed to say. But, here at the home of the Panthers, lunch is not free. Also, this season sports is: Track, Flag Football for girls, Lacrosse, Tennis, and I believe Baseball. I'm not completely sure.
Hope: Okay. How exactly do they try out?
Ms. Aiko: try-outs are held. If you can't find out when, just look for the coach.
Hope: okay, will do.

    I tapped Chuckii hand and he helped me up. You can actually see a little baby bump appearing now. As we made our way out the office, the kids grabbed their bags and began following Ms.Aiko dowm the hall. We'll get them later. On the way to the car, Chuckii held my hand as we walked down steps.

Chuckii: I owe Pablo a car.
Hope: What?
Chuckii: Yeah. I owe him, so we gotta stop by the dealership to find him a car.
Hope: What are we getting him?
Chuckii: Audi? Mercedes? Your call ma'.

    I looked down at my hand and shook my head.

Hope: baby i don't think i'm ready for him to be driving yet.
Chuckii: ma' he damn near grown, we can't hold him back...
Hope: He's not grown yet Angel.

    Chuckii opened the car door for me and I got in closing the door myself. Once he got in he tried to grab my hand and i just pulled it away. He literally just pissed me off a little. I don't understamd why he think that was okay.
