I lay on our couch with my hand to my forehead. I honestly just can't comprehend whether or not today was real. How could someone so attractive be so... so... revolting? I reach behind my head and grab the pillow supporting it to shove into my face as I scream in frustration. To think I was almost charmed by him... Well, no matter now. It's over, I never have to see him again. Thank god he's rarely in the City. I stay laying there with the pillow on my face and an arm hanging off the side of the couch. I can hear Bree turning the lock at the front door with her key. She enters the room, her footsteps are slow. "Oh no... I left her alone too long... SHE MUST HAVE RUN OUT OF DOUBLE-STUFFED OREOS AND COULDN'T HANDLE IT!" she sarcastically screams, "If only I could have saved her!" She walks over to the couch where I still refuse to show any signs of life. She picks up the grey, faux fur pillow on the other end and tosses it onto me. "Wow, throwing pillows at dead people. How classy," I say in a monotone voice. Bree pushes my legs off the side of the couch and takes their place. "Come on, tell Bree what's got you down," she offers. "Uh, men..." I say as I sit up. "Isn't that all of our problems?" she giggles. I kind of half smile before turning my face to hers. Her eyes are puffy...

"Were you crying?"

"Oh, it's nothing..."

She quickly rubs underneath her eye. "Bree... It can't be nothing..." I say in a concerned tone. She looks at me while drawing in a deep breath.

"I got into a fight with Gabe... But it's okay-"

"Oh my god what did he do this time?"

"Well, he got me a part in the next play he's going to be in."

"That's great though, right?" I ask puzzled. She can no longer look me in the eye. "Well, yeah. It's wonderful! But... He wants me to move in right away since we won't have time for me to after this weekend..." Well, I guess I better go pick out a comfy box to live in for the rest of my life.

"Oh..."

"But I'm still gonna pay my half of the rent until you find a roommate, so you don't have to worry!"

I could never make Bree pay two rents... That would be ridiculous. I look down at my phone for the time, it's about a half hour until I need to be at my shift. "It's fine, Bree. Really. I'll figure something out," I promise her before giving her a supportive hug. I leave the room to change for work as she lays her head down on the couch. I know this whole incident is destroying her on the inside.

I arrive for my shift expecting to be working with one of the newer employees, Jimmy. I've only worked with him once before, but Tammy talks very highly of him. However, I walk in to find none other than Tammy grilling in the kitchen. "Do you ever go home, Tammy?" I tease. She gives me a sassy look while putting her hands on her hips, "Oh, hush. Jimmy asked me to cover his shift." It's not long before she begins questioning me... "So, Miss Savannah, did you go see that apartment... loft... whatever the hell it was?" she asks as she flips a burger. I place my bag  on one of the hooks attached to the office door.

"Yes... It's not going to work out."

"You couldn't convince them, huh?"

"He offered it rent free actually."

I swear she almost fainted. "AND JUST WHY AREN'T YOU MOVING IN RIGHT NOW?!" she shouts for the whole diner to hear. I rush over to quiet her down. "Look... The man wanted sex. Completely perverted!" I say hushed. She looks at me with her wide eyes. "Is he attractive?" she requests.

"Tammy, that's beside the point."

"Oo, that man got you feelin' some type of way, doesn't he?"

"Tammy..."
