"You will look dashing on your engagement day sir," said the tailor, measuring the line across Harry's shoulders.
"I do hope so. My mother will have a crazy fit if I don't look presentable."
The aged tailor bellowed a hearty laugh. "You? Harry! No. You're one of the lucky ones. Born with great hair and nice body with that face of yours. I'll be damn if you don't look presentable wearing a rag."
"Oh you're too much mister James. When I grow old I wish to be like you. Happy and loving my profession. An inspiration to us all."
The old placed his hand on his heart from Harry's compliment. Harry had known him since he was a young boy. Always visiting his shop whenever they needed new robes. He observed the tailor working on his shoulders from the reflection. The nobleman was standing extremely erect, the coat that covered his body tugged perfectly against his muscles. He had fabrics pinned on the random places on his body, making it hard for him to make small movements.
Things are moving so fast. Just a few weeks ago, his mother came with his future fiancee's family to their home. They talked and discussed about the future of the families. Even the girl's father who was outpost near France returned to meet his future son-in-law. No decisions were made by the girl nor Harry, all was done in the family. A decision was for them to make. Not his.
"Please turn sir."
Harry turned his heels, catching his profile. He looked immaculate. He would be any family's ideal son, he was born into an uber wealthy noble family, he was brilliant, and kind-hearted.
The engagement has turned into a gossip circus. Two of highly noble blood. Even though they just met and discussed the marriage, gossip had spread and now all everyone in town was talking about is about the couple.
His thoughts snapped when he glanced at golden blonde hair passing by the window shop. His hair shining in the bright sun, his blue pools shining as always. That cheeky grin on his face. All thoughts of marriage disappeared and all he could think of was the man that had just entered the shop.
"Good afternoon sir. How's master Harry doing?" said the accented voice.
"Oh Niall. You've come too early my dear. Your master haven't even finished his one fitting. I'm currently measuring him up again. A bit weight here your master has piled on. Nothing a few tweaks of the pins can't do. I'll make the coat perfect for you sir. You must be a happy man," said the aging tailor.
"Blame this boy here. He always cooks the nicest dishes," said Harry, pointing to the standing Niall. "I think he has concocted a plan to make me fat and undesirable."
"Well good for you then sir! You're looking much chirpier nowadays than ever. I can't remember the last time you come in with a fitting smiling and laughing. Normally coming in all broody and frowning."
